This review is for the Nyko Intercooler for the Playstation 3. You can get it at Walmart, Gamestop, Eb Games, etc. for $29.99usd.
Quality
This product looks and feels much more durable than its 360 counterpart. It sports a nice glossy finish just like the PS3 has. The cooler is a 2 piece add-on that covers the back and the right side of the PS3. The fan also has 5 fans that can be adjusted to the speed you desire with the speed adjuster knob on the front. It also includes a nice power button directly above the adjuster.
Value
I have been testing the cooler while running Folding@Home and I can already tell a huge difference. The air coming out of the system is much much cooler than stock. The fans are pulling the air out before it even heats up. All 5 fans at full speed are still more quiet than a stock Xbox 360.
Overall
I am rating this cooler a 9/10 for the moment because I just cant seem to find anything really wrong with this attatchment. I really like the ability to adjust the fan speed and the cooler itself doesnt look bad at all. Does the PS3 need this cooler? Maybe not but I feel a lot better having this thing on while folding.
