I was thinking of getting a NDSL, but was put off by lack of media capabilities. That was until I saw this... http://gear.ign.com/articles/703/703270p1.html

Does anyone know if this is any good? What video codecs does it play?

Its a bit expensive.. and ugly, its gonna ruin the look of your DSL. For that kind of money Id buy a 4gb memory stick for my PSP and use that for movies etc :D

I've heard alright reviews, but it seems alittle steep at that price. Unless you have a coupon or a rebate I'd wait for a price drop or find a used one.

Pay 40 bucks for the actual media cartridge thing, without the compact flash card as Best Buy. Then just buy a 2 gb compactflash card on eBay for another 40. BAM! You spend 80 bucks and you get all sorts of good stuff for the DS. It's what I'm going to do one of these days. Go out and get a DSL, 2 year warranty, and the seperate media cartridge at Best Buy, then buy the compactflash card online. Best part, never pay for another DS game again.... If you're a subscriber, you catch my drift.

I own both a DSL and PSP so Im not a fan boy if thats what you were trying to get at. I was talking about the item mentioned, and i stated it would look ugly on a DS Lite, so youd be better off paying that amount of money on a 4gb stick for your PSP. The screen on a PSP is better quality for movies etc too.

If you buy a g6 Lite for 87 bucks from winsunx.com then you cna play every media format almost. Including .vob .avi etc. Plus you can play ds games, snes games, sega games, nes games. The G6 lite has 512 megabytes built in to the cartidge so your space is limited. The G6 Lite does read compressed files though.

What would be the best solution for me if I wanted only to really play DS games? Would it be a EZ4 Lite w/ 1GB Micro SD and an EZPASS3?

You cna buy a ninja pass junior for 33 bucks and it can only hold one game but is really cheap. If you have money to spend and like removeable memory then get the ez4 lite with a microsd 1gig and ezpass3. That is all you need to play ds games.

Thanks, I think I will get the EZ4 Lite since it would seem I would regret getting the Ninja Pass card. Aren't most games over 64MB though? I thought I say pics of the New Super Mario Bro's being like 130MB? What is the average size?

So I'm getting my DS Lite soon and wanted to know what was the best thing for running Movies, Music, and [R]andom [O]bsessed [M]other[s].

I want to have at least 2GB of memory, preferably 4GB. Maybe something that takes SD cards? Or maybe a hard drive?
