Sony Must Lower Price For The PS3 Now! Petition!

Many of us agree that the only way to increase a major spark in Sony's PS3, is to lower the price significantly. Today, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot stated, "They have to decrease the price quite significantly". I wonder what he's talking about? Could mean everything, could mean nothing. Either way, it's no longer a secret that the CEOs for the major developing companies are no longer ignoring the issue from a business standpoint. Help us make this a possibility. Even if it's a deduction of $100.00 off of the $599.00 price tag, that'll make a huge difference.

I think they really need to lower the price. Personaly I i'm not to fond on
PS3's, because they are to over rated.

I love the controllers, the motion sensor thing and the look of the console and I love the dashboard.

An analyst calculated that Sony would need to drop the price of the PS3 by 200.00 to make up for lost profit.

Yea but we the consumers dont need such a big decrease, its got to come to the point where u can get a ps3 for 599 as where the the pro 360 comes at 399, i just think if sony wants to beef of sales, they should set the price at like 349 and 449 or some were around there...If i could buy a ps3 for that i would deff do it..

Well, the PS3 is currently the cheapest blu-ray player out there. The games are an added bonus. But, not many consumers know that, if people were more informed about that PS3 sales would be much better, I have a friend who works in retail, they have PS3's in stock, yet he says it is a 1:4 ratio of PS3's to Blu-Ray players.

But most people want the PS3 for gaming, Bluray is a benefit to the gaming... not vise versa. I think since this is primarily a gaming machine then the price needs to be competitive to other consoles, not bluray players.

a stupid petition will not make them lower the price.. m sure they know the buinsess by now, if they are still selling some to make a profit, why lower the price.. when there is a plateau in sales, it will drop, so why not petition people to stop buying ps3's

true i would not have bought these blu-ray movies i have, adn the ones iam buying in the coming months if ps3 didnt have a blu-ray drive.
