Alright well my 360 just seems out to get me. It already scratched up my gears of war disk but it was because I changed the position of the console while it was in it. I have now learned not to do that. Now I got Guitar Hero 2 yesterday (awesome game) and I played it for like 2 hours straight (really awesome game) and then i turned it off for the night. I woke up and started playing for about 4 hours straight. Then I went to grab something to eat but left my console on for about 5 minutes without playing it. So I came back and the damn thing was frozen. it would not respond to anything. So I turned it off and back on. It would work until right before i was about to start playing a song. Then it would freeze again. So I checked out my disk and it looked like there was like drops of water in it or something. I felt the console and it was really hot. So I decided to take the whole thing back to gamestop. I returned it and got a new one and came right back home to play some more. I played for about 20 minutes good but then it froze on me again. I am scared to play it any more because I dont want to mess this disk up. So far this disk looks alright but if I play it for more than 5 minutes it freezes. Im really scared it might be a problem with my 360. What do you think? anyone else had this problem? Could the console be getting too hot and in turn messing up the games? I just dont know and if anyone could help me fix it I would be forever endowed to them. Thanks

Maybe try a extra fan system?
Like the fan stand or intercooler(just be careful with this)
Is it well ventilated?
EDIT: Did you return the console or the game?

i returned the game and guitar and got a brand new one and it started freezing again. I will try the fan thing but I wont have enough money to get one until 2 weeks when i get paid... unless someone on here has an extra one to trade/sell to me

is it under warrenty?
If yes send it to m$ saying it freezes
If no, then get a pair of whisper fans to replace the stock fans (ehh ill do it for you if your scared..for a price =] lol
and get a nyko intercooler (but use it sparialy, cuz they have been known to cause issues, but i do say they work pretty good.

Strange, don't use the intercooler. Get some whisper fans.

Usally a 6-10 days depending on the problem,
And hybrid the intercooler has gotten such a bad rep, but to be honest it does help with the cooling

But at the same time you shouldn't need to buy extra stuff to get your 360 working properly, know what i'm saying? Is it well ventilated? Mine sits above my cable box which generates heat so I have spacers that give about an inch of space b/t my 360 and my cable box. I think that helps a lot.

It cools it down very well. But it uses the power needed to run the console and stresses the fans which could lead to a long-term effect.

Mine is laying horizontal on my sections. It has about 2 feet from the back, 6 inches from the top side. Works fine

where is your power brick or your router/modem? I had my modem underneath my xbox and left it on overnight to get some achievements and it over heated because my modem was putting out so much heat thru the glass beneath my xbox. Make sure your brick is put out in the complete open by itself, not on top of your tv. That might be an imediate solution.
