What was your favorite ColecoVision game ever? I loved venture.

Venture was damn good, but I'd have to say my favorite was Spy Hunter. Right now though Q*bert, Zaxxon, and Burgertime are my most played.
PS: I have just opened an ColecoVision mailing list on www.egroups.com (http://www.egroups.com) called "ColecoVisionPlayer" you all should join.
Thanks...

Venture is definitely a great game. I also really like Frenzy, and the ColecoVision version of Super Cobra was brilliant.

Coleco made some excellent games, but my favorite one by far was of course -- LadyBug!

Yeah, those are all great games! It's been a long time now, and I still miss playing those games on ColecoVision. Emulators are great, but not quite the same thing. For some reason, I've been in a Cosmic Avenger and Gorf mood lately. And I still remember how I felt the first time I saw Zaxxon. WOW! (Probably my all time favorite.)

I'm partial to venture, but since i dl some emulators and roms on my computer, i'd have to say cabbage patch is pretty cute and burger time is awesome ( i never had those as a kid!)

My favorite was Burgertime. No one wrote a program for Colecovision better than Mattel. Too bad there weren't many Burgertime cartridges actually produced.

I've got Burgertime for Intellivision, which is one of the best games on the system. Never did get it for ColecoVision for some reason.... but if it's as good as you say I'll try and track down a copy.

Two coleco games have to share the first place in my best coleco games: Jumpman Junior & Miner 2049er.
Those are two games very expensive at the time (80$ each, other games were at maximum 60$) but it was really worth the money!!
I remember almost praying god that Epyx would make the original Jumpman for ColecoVision. The result: I bought a c=64 just to play this game!
Destructor and Tutankham are worth also mentioning.

C'mon, guys, how about Mr. Do!'s Castle? It wasn't a perfect arcade translation but it was closer than most coin-op conversions on the ColecoVision, including Coleco's own version of Donkey Kong (that game felt like half a translation to me, because most of the gameplay elements just disappeared, and the scoring mechanics were totally raped). The best part of Mr. Do!'s Castle is that you can play it with just about any 9-pin controller, and it plays like an ice cream dream with the six-button pads Sega released for the Genesis back in 1993.
I can't forget about Konami... all of their ColecoVision games were terrific, as you'd expect from the company. Well, OK, Video Hustler was a so-so pool simulation, but it was the only one of its kind on the system, and you have to admit that the scoring mechanics were clever.
What else... oh, yeah! Galaxian was awesome on the ColecoVision, too. You couldn't ask for a better translation.

My favorite games include Mr. Do and
Donkey kong(which reguires an old TV set
with a mono output - great music!)
Even my girl-friend likes Mr. Do! Usually she plays Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy games on the PSX.
Wargames is also a great game, even if I
prefer classic Arcade conversions. Overlay for the Wargames? Anyone?

I can't believe I'm writing this, but I had become nostalgic about my youthful days of playing Colecovision. I would have to say my favorite games were definitely Beamrider, B C
Quest for Tires, Q-Bert and does anyone remember the game, now don't quote me on this one, but Dig Dug? That was a game about a space dude that had to kill all the aliens by digging holes and watching them fall to there death and he only had a certain amount of oxygen to complete the task? Well, if anyone recalls this game send a relpy. Colecovision continues to live on in the hearts of those who embrace the true spirit of the 80's.

Yes Venture Rocks. I don't own a Coleco console now, but I am going to buy one with a Venture cassette. I also like qbert and Dkong was fun as h*ll. I'm sure everyone noticed that if you played Venture long enough, you could figure out the pattern to defeat the computer and win every time as long as you followed closely to the pattern? That was why I saw this post and chose my handle as venturepro.
I would have to put 2 lists of my faves together http://forums.atari.net/ubb/smile.gif one for top original favorites and one for the ones I play the most today.

Carnival.
Most Anticipated Game that was never Made
Tunnels and Trolls

Anyway, hard to pick just a couple, but those are my top picks. http://forums.atari.net/ubb/smile.gif

K-Frame does your nick refer to your hobbie of owning and restoring Chrysler/Dodge/plymouth cars built on the K frame. This would include the ledgenday Dodge Aries and Plymouth Relient (of which I owned a silver 1982 model).

Jumpman Junior is not the best ColecoVision game. It is the best video game of all time.
I already listed my picks back on page 1 http://forums.atari.net/ubb/smile.gif but..
Elscorcho: re Best videogame of all time, Jumpman Jr.
http://forums.atari.net/ubb/smile.gif Well, that's wot I call devoted fanfare.
I agree Jumpman jr is a great game, If we were to be talking
'Favorite Arcade Games'
I'd probably go with "Sinistar" anyone else remember that? (with the voice of evil http://forums.atari.net/ubb/smile.gif
and since like most people, the games I remember most are the games that crowds would form around me when I played, then I'd have to add almost any racing game - the biggest crowd drawer (when I played in Arcades) was the 3 screen racing game - it was SO bizarre how many people would be lined up watching me stick-shift manouever into 1st place.
ONLY in Arcades, could you be treated like a REAL Formula-1 race car driver, just from acing a video game. http://forums.atari.net/ubb/smile.gif
Other Arcade faves: Star Wars, of course.
Gauntlet, Space-Ace and Vanguard.

 It has new asteroids, new alien fortresses, and new challenges!
Super ColecoVision graphics and sound! It includes Hall Of Fame screen and 8 different skill levels! Only the best players will reach ZAXXON Galactic Headquaters to end the war!
It is one of the finest home translations available! It has extra levels not found in the arcade game! It's also one of the best shooters ever made! I also consider it better than Sega's Zaxxon 3-D and Zaxxon's Motherbase 2000 for the Sega Master System and the 32X! It stays true to the original arcade game's spirit than those other titles! A very good game!

I'm surprised at how many ppl seemed to like Venture. I found it good, but for me it had limited replayability. Tutankham was perhaps one of my favs, along with River Raid. And although they're not Coleco games (although I did play 'em with the Atari expansion module), Adventure and Haunted House were ones I played a hell of a lot too. Gee, I haven't used the Colecovision in bloody years - think I'll have to drag it out and relive some nostalgia before I get rid of it :)
