Hi, I just got an Atari 520STfm in hopes of using it as a MIDI sequencer, but it seems I am having a problem with the disk drive.... When I go to format a new disk, I get this message...
"Your output device is not receiving data, Before you retry, make sure it
has power, is online, and is loaded with paper or film"
Do I need disks that are not already IBM formatted, cause the disks I am using are new disks that have been formatted. Should I try and get a hold of some older disks, maybe this will help?
It doesn't matter if I am trying to format single or double sided disks, I get this error message. This tells me that there might be something with the protocol in which the computer interfaces with the internal floppy drive. I don't have a manual, so I don't know where to start... that's why I am here, hoping someone can clear this up.
Thanks,
John
