Well, I followed the steps to get a free 72 pin connector (which worked great, thanks :D ). Anyway, I installed it, and it works perfectly, except the games require a lot of force and wiggling back and forth to get out of the system. I noticed someone else also had this problem in the post about how to get the free connector. Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks for the help.

It seems there is quite a difference in production variables of the connectors. Some, like Froggerman's and yours are tight. Others like mine are loose, (I actually would prefer mine to fit a little snugger than it does.)
Over time, it may loosen up. I have also heard using a genie will cause your connector to spread. Another thing you could try is gently using a small screwdriver to open up the pins a little. You could also email mike@nesplayer.com to see if he has any suggestions. He was the one who originally gave me the tip about calling and getting a free connector.
Good Luck!

Mwhahaahahah! I was right! So it isn't just me!
I am not sure how to fix the 'tightness factor'. My cousin has an NES that is 'tight' as well... I am not sure however if her NES has a new 72 pin connector or if it still has the original...
I would imagine after playing it enough it will eventually loosen up a bit although I don't know for certain.
Anntiques mentioned a Game Genie... I have no comments about the Game Genie loosening the connectors a bit but before I recieved my new 72 pin connector I was using my Game Genie to play games... For whatever reason I would have great luck using a Game Genie... I guess it made a better connection... The only problem is sometimes there would be parts of the game missing. For instance in Final Fantasy the beginning story screen is missing which is probably why I wondered why it featured a weak story. (when in fact I never had the opportunity to read it.)
Anyways... That is my heartwarming story of the day... Until my new [tight] connector I used my Game Genie for better connectivity.

I don't know for sure if a Genie will loosen up a connector or not. I don't own a Genie, but a couple of NES websites do mention that they could loosen up the connector. I would say unless you have to use vice grips to get your game out, live with it and hopefully it will loosen up over time.

My NES quit working and I got it fixed by a local tv/pc repairman and it has a real tight fit now.
I'm OK with it.
Just glad that it works again!
