y do u guys like nintendo?
i find that most of the time, their games are geared towards lil kiddies...i mean, there's like, no mature games! like, for Gamecube, there's no good shooting games.
besides, i don't think any of the nintendo games have online capabilities, like PS2 or XBOX
no hard feelings, just curiousity!

I am into the old NES and Super NES retro scene myself. I do have a Game Cube for the Zelda series, but that's it. I like my PS2 more! :) You'll find alot of older retro gamers here at Atari.NET. I don't care for the kiddie games either. But The Legend of Zelda series is good gaming!

They singlehandedly saved the video game industry and they have my respect.
Having mature (or 'immature' as is usually the case) content doesn't necessarily make a game fun to play. Sure it can be a nice thing but I won't hold it against Nintendo because they prefer to take a more 'wholesome' approach to video games.
As long as it is fun and addictive then the game has my blessing.

Yeah they might have saved it but still, I think that its slowly begginnign to crumble and just be destroyed by Sony and Microsoft. Time to buy game rights.

Time will tell us of Nintendo's fate. I pesonally would like to see Nintendo make a come back with its new "Revolution" system. But I am not holding my breath. Remember what happened to Atari and Sega? Anyways, Nintendo will always have my respect. PERIOD! Nintendo has always come up with fun and addictive games, like the Metroid series and the Mario series. The Zelda series is another one.
If things don't work out with Nintendo, then they could continue making games for other platforms. Sega is doing that right now. I don't think that Nintendo is going to do that anytime soon, if ever.
It is best to wait and see what happens in the next few years.

So far the only thing that I like about the Revolution is its backwards compatibility. I would love to play old NES games and SNES and all that good stuff. Man, thats probably the only thing that will lure me to buy the reolution.

I was looking into its specs on the USA Today newspaper, and I saw that you can download NES, Super NES, and Nintendo 64 games to play on the Revolution. I like that too! So it will have some online capabilities.
I saw illustrations of all three next generation systems (PlayStation 3, XBOX 360 and the Nintendo Revolution) and I noticed something funny: all three systems look like modern PCs! The Revolution controllers are wireless. I love that idea.

Every new systems controllers are wireless. Plus, I dont think that the PS3 looks like a computer to any extent. Its more sleek and futuristic.

Actually, the PS3 looks more like the PS2, only sharper and sleeker! I couldn't help but think of it as PCish in its looks.
It is going to be fun to see all three new systems in action!
Welcome to the Atari.NET forums! :D It is nice to see some action here. Things have been pretty dull and boring at the Atari.NET forums. If we can get more discussions on gaming here, then Atari.NET's forums will be exciting again.
