its not even inovative, there have been weird fetish groups who already shake their hand up and down while holding a shaft to get some fat italian plumber to jump up and down.
This ad Is semi true, Wii is a cheap whore which I will buy because its cheap and fun, PS3 will be my main system tho, and its far sexier than that ad's presentation.
Honestly Id never get a Wii If it was pricey, I probably wouldnt have gotten a ds, I just got it because its cheap, it is funm but its not worth more than $129.

The wii looks great. The people who played it at E3 said that it was really fun to play. The launch lineup is going to be great. Zelda, Red Steel, Super Smash Bros., Super Mario Galaxies, Metroid Prime will be some of the launch titles.

Well, the GCN didn't get a lot of third party support, but the wii is getting a lot of it. They see what the wii is doing and they want to get in on it. Ubisoft is becoming the biggest supporter.

Yea, some would say slapping on a new package, and beefing up the graphics doesnt make it any more fun than the PS2.
Truth be told, no one here really knows how they will do, how they will play, or how much fun you'll have with either system.

Yo smart one the PS3 now has motion sensitivity and you look much stupider holding that controller and tilting it as it is clearly visible the design wasn't made for that type of movement unlike the Wii controller. The Wii is innovative and fun, but the PS3 seems to lack in both of those areas, as almost all the games seem to be sequals, nothing new. The PS3 is very lackluster with almost no new features seeings as the technology they used in that controller is actually very old as I saw a video of the Microsoft Sidewinder controller on my WINDOWS 98 DISC.
Sony is lackluster this year and its clearly visible. Its expensive, but its not innovative in any way, clearly showing Sony's bad side.

Motion Detection has been around for a long time, maybe, but near as advanced as the Wii's motion sensitivity. It can detect its place in 3D space, the PS3 just has tilt sensitivity. Like you said "It has tonnes of new technology" yet you contradict your statement by saying motion detection has been around for years... all the PS3 is to me, is a beefed up version of the older console with better graphics. Also, based of what I have seen of the consoles, the Wii looks like much more fun than the PS3. Imagine having a marathon WarioWare party with the Wii, and how much of a blast that would be, the Wii has much more pottential then the PS3 to me, and I would have much more fun with the Wii, as I can already tell, I LOVED the DS, and I'm not a fan of the PSP as much (Although I still like it) and the reason, is that its something different, its not the same as everything else out there. I know the PSP had some features like internet and video, ect, but gameplay wise it was the same as Nintendo's original Gameboy. Think about it, Nintendo revolutionaized the home console industry, what makes you think they can't do it again? The GameCube may not have been extremely popular in North America, but it was in Japan. It wasn't a flop, yet people think because of the GameCubes lack of success here, the Wii will have the same fate.
Gameplay has always beaten graphics in my book, and I'd rather try something new than play the same old thing over and over again, even if it doesn't work out for the best.
See, you claim I probably haven't played a PS3 or Wii but you seem to be typing as if you have, which is doubtful.
If Nintendo Didn't revolutionize the home console bussiness, you wouldn't have your precious PS3. And if Nintendo never released the Gameboy, you wouldn't have your beloved PSP. Nintendo CAN pull through, because in all reality, they basically created the competition.

I find it funny that you'd say Sony isn't as good because it's the same thing over and over. Take a look at most Nintendo games. They feature the same characters doing the same thing time and time again. Look at the mario games... Mario does the same thing in almost every game.

Even after that long rebuttle, you didnt come up with this "Lack" of technology you claim, you seem to be standing by your Controler arguement, which doesn't matter, Thats fine the Wii has "advanced" motion detection, so do gyro mice for pc's, and other products, as for the psp not being anything new I kind of just have to laugh at that, Sure there might be some lose with games, but there are still plenty of good ones, You act as if nintendo didnt exist niether would gaming, or Sony for that matter, Microsoft and Sony can do fine if they drop the gaming industry all together, they are well established companies, So is nintendo but Nintendo's main income is gaming.
I seriously doubt most people will use the motion detection much in the ps3, mostly because people dont want to look like jackasses, but who knows, Sony can still improve on the controller later on if they think its worth it.
Another thing though, How do I type as if Ive played them both? I didnt stake a claim that one was funner than the other, that was clearly you. Im not here bashing Nintendo Either, I love nintendo they make great games, but fanboys like you make people who like nintendo seem like idiots, acting as if Nintendo was God's left nut.
This is how I see the systems currently as they are:
PS3 = Powerful System which might pull ahead and dominate gameplay quality on the 3 main systems. Price is a bit steep but Im ok, I can afford it. (Have it Reserved)
Nintendo = Great Small System with great Price, Should have alot of fun games. (Will try to by at/or near launch)
XBoX 360 = Seems like an ok system right now with a few good games, Nothing "Great" that has caught my eye, Price is a bit steep for my lack of interest in it, Might get it when Halo comes out or the price drops a bit.
Thats my general opinion.

I'm not a fanboy of Nintendo, I'm a fan of the Wii and DS. If I'm a fanboy of anything its Sega. Also, I meant PlayStation and Xbox wouldn't exist if Nintendo never developed the NES. Infact, home console gaming probably wouldn't exist as it does today if it weren't for the NES.
You say I'm a Nintendo fanboy when you're acting like a Sony fanboy and don't deny it because it's clearly visible no matter what you say, and denying with the fact that its so visible just makes you look worse.
I like Nintendo more because I've liked just about every system of their's that I've played, and that includes the Gamecube. I'm a fanboy of gameplay, I really couldn't give a **** about power or graphics, seeings as I prefer the original 8 bit games over the majority of new fangled PS2/XB and thats another reason I like the Wii. Virtual Console. I can play the classics and I can do almost anything that I enjoy.
You know I'll disagree with almost any argument you post, so we may as well just stop now unless you want the thread locked.

Nes was hardly the first gaming console, and if it wasnt there, other companies like atari would have continued on anyways.
Dont just go and Dismiss Console Gaming's true predecessors, They might have been a bit before your time (even a few years before I was born)but still they are the true roots, not nintendo, Nintendo can be part of the trunk, The roots are Systems like the Magnavox Odyssey, Atari, Itellivision, and Collecovision. There where numerous other companies ready to take the prize with Console gaming, The NES (Famicon in Japan) was a 4th Gen system, The NES as we know it is only as old as me.
I wouldnt Consider myself a fanboy, just because it has the word boy in it. lol.
I go with Sony because Sony is what I buy, Sony is what I find reliable, and Sony is what I pay with (Sony Card Credit Card).
