What Console Company Does The Forum Prefer?

Well, as the title says, what company is the prominant choice of the forum?

I think Sony is a great company and has great systems but I prefer MS b/c they are in my budget. Nintendo only fell back b/c they used to appeal more to the younger crowd... they're getting better now!

Every time I bought a Sega console they stopped making games for it like 6 months later...

Even thought I am a big Microsoft fan I have to go with Nintendo because they are all about the games. That is what they focus on. Not multimedia crap. All the gameboys have been great and I couldn't be happier with my DS. There were great games for the cube like Metroid. It is just people thought the cube was to kiddy but it had games like eternal darkness and RE4 which were great and guesome games. I hate the PSP they don't have many original games. Once again Sony doesn't focus just on the games they have to make a multimedia player. Nintendo is all about the games and they have made GREAT games for the DS. The reason we get a handheld gaming system is so we can play GAMES. For the movie and music stuff, well that is why Ipods are made. The DS is outselling the PSP because of its games and because no company will ever be able to beat Nintendo in the handheld gaming market. The reason is because Nintendo knows how to make their handheld systems just plain FUN.

Gaming systems as we knew them are slowly being extinct, New "Entertainment Consoles" are what people want now, a nice all in one machine. Hence I chose Sony, Altho Nintendo and MS do do a good job as well.

I voted Sony but to be honest the only reason i chose Sony was because of the PSP that i absolutely love, but i love my Microsoft XBOX aswell

I found the XBOX to be great for the whole MOD factor, quite easy. I can't say whether I like the XBOX more than the PS2 because I LOVE RPGs & the PS2 has THE BEST RPGs which I found to be the XBOX's weakness. Otherwise I prefer using my Xbox because I like running the Games off the Hard Drive for Faster Loading. I guess I pick the XBOX but by a slim margin. If only it had better RPGs like FF.

Exactly, no one wants a gaming machine anymore, it'sa;; about multimedia. Soon I think we'll see systems with built in HDD's that can rip and story your music and movies.

I want the total oposite of what you just said. When you have a multimedia machine like the PSP, the gaming factor tends to go second fiddle, and plus I think its pointless to have music, movies ect on the system because... if you got an Ipod in all technicalitys it would be cheaper seeings as you can get up to a 60 gig Ipod yet a 2 gig memory stick is like 90 something dollars here. Add up the space needed to hold all your songs and you've spent twice as much as an ipod with half the songs.

Heres my choices:

Sega+Nintendo (I like both the most)>Microsoft>Sony

Sega was great though. Sonic has always Pwned mario. I mean.. Grungy Italion Plumer Guy or Cool Blue Dude With a Tude? :D

And the PSP was pretty much a first attempt. I think in the furure we'll see systems with build in HDD's or Flash for movies and music.

Nintendo because they're not giving like sony and microsoft by basically making computers instead of systems. Nintendo makes strictly gaming machines, for that I love them.
