Best game ending

Very rarely have I completed a game and have been treated to an ending that justifies paying over £30 for it.

Many of you probably prefer those epic endings in games like Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid. Or maybe you like simplistic, straight to the point endings

There are also endings that aren't necessarily good but having watched them, they give you a wealth of extras. Resident Evil 4 springs to mind with its typically B-list movie voice over ending and the fantastic mini-games you get after watching [enduring] it.

I've yet to play Shadow of the Colossus which has supposedly got one of the best game endings of all time. I should be picking up a copy soon, though.

FFX on ps2 or golden sun 2 on gba (although golden sun 2 does leave a few loose ends)

FF endings are always impressive. I never did beat Chrono Trigger, but I imagaine that would be nice.

metalgearsolid because i didnt have a memory card, lent it of my mate and got so hooked in the story i played it for 16hours straight till i had beaten it, it was a cool ending

Square Enix/Soft games always have a great ending to them. Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Star Ocean, and basically all Square games have phenominal endings. There are only a few that may not.

MGS 3, by far the best ending i have ever seen for a video game and KH2 is right under it, IMO

I liked the ending on The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64. I complete that game like 6 times lol.

Shenmue 2 has a great cliff hanger ending, slightly marred by the fact that Shenmue 3 may never be released to finish the story :roll:
