My friends was playing oblivion on my xbox 360 and he had to go do something quickly so I was going to load my game up and play a little bit, but I accidently selected save and then went and saved over my game! All those missions that I beat, the levels I gained, the items that I got are all GONE! I put a bunch of hours into playing oblivion and now I lost it all. I feel sick. I can't believe I was so stupid. So yes I am extremely frustrated and pissed. Oblivion is my favorite game of all time and now I ruined it. I have always had bad luck annd this just adds on to my misfortunes. Anyways could you guys tell me any stories of how you lost your data for a certain game because it might make me feel better knowing that I am not the only idiot that has done this.

Man, that must suck...

I got "corrupted profile" so I had to delete and recover and lost all my saves...

This was bound to happen on Oblivion's save system... I'm always VERY cautious when deleting saves. Sorry to hear bout that, man...

That really blows. I've done similiar things in the past.

Sadly enough, I have to say : It's just a game.

Well for GTA there was no point in keeping it.The save file was corrupted from using to many cheats i say.I had a complete game of the sims bustin out on my GBA and i turned it off whil it was saving.

That's wasn't the best thing you've done is it lol

You must have used so too many cheats to make it a currupt file

Well this has happened to me on Oblivion once when I was a relaly low level, so it didnt matter. But it also happened again on a game called Dark Cloud for PS2. What happened was I accidently saved over a file that was almost at the end boss with a file that was half done the game, and then being in a panic about it, I thought turning off the ppower to the system would prevent it from saving over. But really all it does to save, is delete it and then save it, so I turned it off when it was deleting :( So I ended up with no save, after losing the almost beaten one, and the half done one :(

But, like many other people, I think one of the only problems with Oblivion is the saving and loading. I kinda wish it was more like the computer game Diablo 2: LOD to load characters.

that sucks, that happened to me, kind of, with legacy of kain defiance, 37 hours into it and my brother overwrites my game with his 20 minute skrew around session
