View Full Version : To wait... Or not?

I have had two xbox 360's break on me and no great games are coming out till Halo 3. So I was going to get an Elite, but I saw that there is hardly any differences besides the color and hdmi output. So when are the new 360s with the 65 chips coming out?

65nm Xbox 360s are due out this fall. I would wait for that one to release before I bought one. But thats just me. Unless you plan on modding it then there is no reason to wait for that one.

I would wait. The 65nm chip produces a lot less heat than the 90nm chip. This will really help keep the 3ROL error from happening.

If I got it modded with more fans and get a better airflow going would it be jsut as good as the 65nm chips? Could you get on aim Lethal?

the 65nm chip will NOT reduce the heat output that much at all. The new chips are being put in to save MICROSOFT money, that's all.

Well if they save money are they still as good as the 90's or is it the cheaper the crappier?

Unless they fix the cooling problem, which a cpu change will NOT solve, then there isn't any reason to wait.

Hooray for custom Mods!~ You'd think you wouldnt have to void your warranty to keep your system in its best shape...

If you're worried about the cooling issue get a new 360 and get rid of the tin plate inside it and out some wisper fans in and your sorted.
