[ENTRY]CS Source tournament provided to you by Kozine and Matt_don

Hey guys,
Matt_don and I are organising a CS Source Tournament as you know. This is how its going to run:

The tournament will be running over 5 weeks. There will be a match between the two teams once a week. At the end of the 5 weeks the team with the most wins win. The winning team also gets 50% of all the contest entry points.

The teams:

101st Regiment Squad
Tag which team will be using in game: [101st]

Special Forces
Tag which team will be using in game: [S=F]

Once we have all entries in, matt_don and me will put all entries into the two teams. As me and matt are playing in this aswell Ive already started the tean lists so here they are:

In order to compete in this tournament you must do the following:

1. Send 150 TVGP's to both matt_don and me

Yup forgot about that. Im making the custom maps for us to play on. Im working on the first one now for the first match already lol. Once im done ill post a screenshot and the download link.

how many on each team? and why can't we play on standard maps like dust2?

I suppose we could have standard maps if thats what everyone wants. And the amount in each team depends on the amount of players.

Yup I do. In a program called hammer in the Source SDK which you get with Half Life 2 or CS: Source!

I will get pwnd at it when I start playing at first. But I usually catch onto games rather quickly, I was winning matches on Unreal 04 by the 2nd night haha.

CS is a pretty complicated game though 8) each weapon shoots differently, atleast that's how it was with the older versions. I think Source is easier, it's different because ive played 1.6 for so long, switching to Source is weird. i don't think it requires as much skill as 1.6

I haven't switched over to source yet, my comp doesn't run it properly. Just 1.6 for me. But I love it.

I got CS:Souce for free when I "bought" half life 2 from walmart.

What is the point of CS:S? I know its a tactical shooter - but what do you do in the game?

it's counter terrorists versus terrorists. on maps that begin with DE, the Terorists have to reach a bombsite (2 bs on each map) and they have to plant a bomb, while the CTs have to protect the bombsites and/or defuse the bomb. On the maps that begin with CS, the CTs have to rescue hostages, while the Ts prevent them from being rescued, but killing the hostages result in penalties. Or the first team to kill the other team wins, and a new round is started and same thing happens until the map is changed

When I first started cs source I was getting pissed off because I had no clue how to play and I could never got a kill. Unlike Halo 2 this games takes more skill than the average fps.

Probaly. But you will only use the tag when in the matches.

i will play but it depends if were playing normal maps or maps by kozine. i dont know why, but i get A TON of lag on regular maps, so i only play custom made ones.

Will you guys be holding another tournament in the near future? Maybe arround or shortly before December/Christmas? I'm looking into getting CS Source arround that time because I want to see what all the fuss is about and what makes it a popular game. I also like those type of games too. So if I get it arround, or shortly before, early December/Christmas would you guys hold another tournament? :p

Well my comp is finished, I gotta finish setting up the drivers, and install CS:S tonight, I can play later tonight like 9pm AZ time or later, or tomorow afternoon/night.
