I'm thinking of getting my ORIGINAL XBOX modded/chipped!

I want to chip my ORIGINAL XBOX, but i don't know how.

Like can i do it myself? Like install it myself?

Like aswell how much would a HDD for the XBOX cost?

Please, I just need some general advice and help really.

So that I can play and store copied XBOX games and DVD's.

And aswell I may consider to mod the look of the XBOX like paint, cut's ect.....

Can I download XBOX games off the internet and burn them to to a data DVD and they'll play on an XBOX and store on an XBOX?

I spent about 150-200 modding mine, but it was worth it. I would say sell your xbox, and use that money toawrds a 360 if you dont already have one.

Its hard to do yourself, it requiers opening up the xbox and soldering.

You should get a 200gb hdd, most games are 2-4 gigs, so that is more than enough space.

You can rent a game, and copy it on to your hdd, depending on the system you set up.

You can also play burned games.

You CANNOT play games on xbox live from your hdd, or with your chip on, you risk getting your account suspended.


Honestly, its alot of work, and I wouldnt suggest it, just get a 360!!
