View Full Version : TVG CS 1.6 Server?
hey guys... Im wondering if anyone wants to do this. A place I found that has full support and will setup the server for us for us and get us prepared is funservers.com iv seen their servers and they are good and they currently have a special for $1.50 per month. I really want a Superhero server with fast xp and non saved xp. This means that xp is reset every map so that noone gets an unfair advantage. If this works I will buy the server and be head admin while all other people who pay will also get admin. So who wants to do this? Im thinking of a 10-16 person server depending on how many people wanna do this.
Also if someone can run this off their computer that would be cool but the ping would probably suck.
I am thinking that every month the people who want in can just send me the amount they need to pay and then I will pay with my paypal.

Id do it. I use to have a CS:S server, with a ping of 100. So a CS server would be a ping of about 80-90.
But the thing is by PC's not on all the time, but I'd help to pay for one.

Yea. The SH mod is my favorite. Its so fun.
awesome now if only other people wanna do it that would be cool

hmm i may play, i dunno about the whole SH mod but it's your server. Who is going to rent it, or is somebody going to host it from their PC?
I am going to rent it from a guy that used to be my clan leader. His servers are very good and cheap and come with full support so if we run into problems then he will fix it. SH mod is really fun when it resets every map because then noone gets an unfair advantage over another because they were there first. I want a 16 man server which right now is only $22 and currently I have 3 people willing to pay so with one more itl only cost about $5 per month and we can also charge other people for admin if they want it like only kick and hud commands and people can also buy lvls like each map they start out with an extra 2 lvls for a dollar or something and it could become cheaper and if the server gets really good people could start making money.

More people play 1.6 than source. 1.6 is more, "harder".

1.6 is sooo much better then source... Source is just for gamers who care more about graphics than quality. 1.6 all the way "foo"

Its a scam.
I was looking into it for a server for my surf community on CSS and I have found that they are a scam. There have been complaints of people paying and not receiving there servers and ****. Stay away if I were you.

Ooh, I love superhero mod. My mom is giving me her old company server, so I'm gonna host a 24/7 dedicated server soon.
its a scam? I worked with their servers before and it seemed fine... Anyways I don't know if we will buy it anyways because not enough people want to.

How much would the server cost to run it?
well on the place I wanted it would be 1.50 per slot which means that a 10 person server is 15 and a 16 person server is 22 but someone said they scam so iono

It was me lol. Ive been in contact with a popular clan I used to be a member of. Ive been speaking to them about funservers.com and there curretn server is hosted by them. They said the service is good but the support is slow. So, I trust these guys(the clan) so I believe them. Im going to order a server from them soon!
wait kozine what kind of server u gonna get cuz if you get a cs 1.6 sh server like i wanted then ill help with the cost and such. My clan was being run by the owner of funservers.com so thats why im pretty sure they are reliable anyways lets see how this goes

Skill? I like Source because it involves a little more tactics. I think 1.6 was based too much on reflexes.

Yep, alot of people "hate" 1.6 because of the skill needed. People "love" source because of the graphics. Their sexy, but the game gets boring when theres almost an autoaim.
i spent 3 years developing my skillz for 1.6... im not about to give all that up now for some flashy graphics
