VGA Cable & LCD Monitor?

I'm thinking about getting a Widescreen 20inch LCD Monitor and connecting my Xbox 360 with a VGA HD AV Cable to the monitor. The monitor I'm thinking about getting has a the following ports: Digital (DVI-D) and Analog (15-pin D-sub VGA). So my question is, can I connected my computer to the DVI port and my 360 to the VGA port and use both and still output to atleast 720p with my 360? Anybody have any ideas?

yes you can put will have to hookup some speakers for sound
