Which do you think is better and why?

I'm all for the PS3. Gonna camp out with a buddy and be the first to get one. ;)

Xbox 360..yar. Sony...sony, everything I had that was Sony broke in 6 months or less. Let's see...newly released Blu-Ray, any problems? Maybe, maybe not.

I voted for the Ps3 even though I'm getting a 360 for Christmad. The Ps3 will drop a lot in price in a few years.

I think the PS3 will have its' share of problems on release day. First, there won't be enough to go around. Second, I can see a number of hardware failures being reported. Remember the PS2 problems ?

No, i mean especially the Ps3 because of its new Blue-Ray technology. The first dvd players were like $300 and now you can pick one up for $40. The Blue-Ray technology will grow older in the net few years which will decrease its value. Then, Sony will lower the price of the Ps3 because it won't cost as much to make the Ps3.

Well, everything has its problems at launch. I'm getting a few years of warrantees just incase though. My buddy is also getting one, and he's gonna sell it on ebay, lol.

Regardless if it even runs for more than 30 mins at a time, they will release it this holiday season. Microsoft has had too much of a free ride as it is. Sony will NOT miss another holiday season, period. You might need to see a doctor about that cough... you obviously don't remember, or even know, about the HUGE problems the PS2 had from it's initial launch. The problems from Sonys last console launch, PS2, makes the Xbox 360 problems insignificant.

I seriously doubt that Sony has ironed out ALL the problems, or even most of them, with all the new technology they are trying to stuff in the PS3. Microsofts problems were limited to the first months runs of 360s. There was a kink in the manufacture process, and not the hardware itself.

I think the PS3 is over rated, sony has a great plan with the Blu-Ray but $600 for someone that doesn't care about blu-ray or hd-dvd's. i think M$ did it right with offering a add on. This way you can buy a HI Def gaming system for a smaller price and then if you want the HD DVD you can buy it. i agree the PS3 has some features that i want with the 360 web browser, wifi built in, motion controllers, rechargable batteries. I think it's unfair to compair the 360 to any of the new consoles. The 360 was release a year ago come on Sony & Wii had a year to see what M$ missed and made these changes. All the sony fanboi's say the 360 sux and blah blah but come on i bet the ps3 has some of the same set backs. i choose 360 since they were the first to make their mark on the HI-Def Games.

Well you can't say the PS3 is better than the XBOX 360 because it's not even out yet.

I still think the XBOX 360 will be the daddy, as i'm a big microsoft fan.

And I think the PS3 is a bit pricey at release, there like 450GBP over here, you can get a XBOX 360 + any 2 games + an extra wireless controller + 360 carry bag and a memory card all for 380.

I think the Wii will do great for some reason. I would have picked it last in the runnings but lately its been looking like clear sunny skys for nintendo, the PS3 will be a suprise, Im hoping for the best but we'll see. As for the 360, Ill get one when halo 3 comes out...maybe, It better be better than that sorry excuse for a sequel.

I don't think the PS3 is worth it, its ugly, the controller looks like a bommarang, and its like what, 600? For similar, maybe a little better graphics than xbox? I couldnt imagine spending that much on something for gaming.

Im all about the xbox, and the Wii. Ill pick up a Wii in a few months, I want to play one before I make my final decision.

Controller is no more boomerang. Here's my point of view... I'm not a fan boy of either, i'll get it if it delivers. Right now I have a 360 and I love it. I'll be playing games on my 360 that developers have worked with for a year now. That means better graphics and game play. Developers will be new to the PS3 so the full power won't be taken advantage of. By the time developers do learn how to work w/ the PS3 they'll be readily available and I can by one at that time w/ better games!

yeah, i dont really care who is going to win the console race. but nintend has been getting alot of good reviews and many online news sources say that the wii may just win the console race. But regardless of who wins what, i would say that i would buy a wii first, to take advantage of the virtual console, new zelda game, and the controller of course. Then after that i will get a 360 cuz i like microsoft, and i loved halo 1 on the pc. as for sony? i dont think so, ive had too many bad experience with sony's products and their crappy customer service

I think nintendo have been smart on here.The wii is different to the 360 and ps3 so instead of nintendo trying to get people to buy their product over the other competition they have people planning to buy both instead.
Sony's last video game devise the psp was the favourite to kill and slaughter the ds but nintendo turned things around and now look who's on top of the handheld market.

B/T the HD-DVD and Blu-ray battle they say that 70% of Blu-ray dvd players are returned and only 30% of hd dvd players. I heard HD dvd has much better picture and sound than blu ray.

You can't tell the difference between 1080P and 720p unless you're superman. But I got a 1080P TV just because it was cheap and had great specs.
