Buy the 360...or wait?

Its been a while now, and I have yet to get the 360, but since all my family owns the 360 and plays live with each other, I must get one. But the only issue holding me back is, I don't want to but the 360 then wait till Christmas, and another newer model of the Xbox comes out. I want the newest, and best one. But I want it soon (Meaning in the next few months or so). What do you guys suggest I do?

I believe the new ones already come with the smaller/cooler chip. Get an elite if you want the most recent model. I haven't heard of anything newer coming out anytime soon. Especially right after Christmas, if anything it would be before. I would go ahead and pick one up b/c you know you want GOW2, right???

I just want to play live with my family, since I am moving to Japan, I wont see them much. =]
