My friend just OWNED me at Bowling... This guy picks up REALLY fast, in a matter of hours he had the pro rank, he's up to 1058 right now.

for some reason the ball just curves... i don't know why I'm pretty sure I'm throwing it straight. Is there a trick or something as to when you're suppose to let go of the ball?

It's pretty much like REAL bowling. You release the B trigger when the ball is at the bottom of your swing. The spin of the ball is determined by the rotation of your wrist. I'll put a little video together if you need to actually see what I'm talking about.

Well, the degree of spin on the ball compared to the rotation of your wrist seems pretty accurate. The speed of the ball also determines how much that spin affects your balls line. The harder you throw, the less the spin is active, but you can tell that the ball is rotating. The slower you throw the ball, the more active the spin will take on the balls path.

Most definitely. The speed of your ball is a little less accurate compared to rolling a real ball. The difference is that there isn't any weight behind the Wii remote. With a ball, you have the weight of the ball helping generate power depending on your downswing speed. With the Wii-mote (lol) it's entirely controlled by your arm speed. There is a learning curve, but after a few games you'll see how your body directly relates to your ball speed, release, and spin. I've been able to throw strikes more consistently with a harder roll with less active spin, over a softer roll with more active spin.

Yeah same here, and this is just from the Wii sports game, it sounds awesome. But there are also quite a few other games I want. Thanks guys for the reviews so far to help me make up my mind, Keep them coming :D

Tell ya what... I've been experiementing with a slower roll with more action. I love it ! Toss the ball across the lane, and watch it come back and strike the pocket !! It's awsome. The roll is more subtle than just tossing the hell out of it, and it's more precise. On the other hand, it's a lot easier to make a mistake while you're trying to keep your roll speed consistent. Man I love this damn game !

211 is my high so far. I bowled 6 strikes in a row and was on my way to bowl a 265 but ended up with 211 lol. For some reason it seems if I do really good the first 5 frames I tend to suck bigtime that last 5. This game is way too fun!

yeah it's a great game. Have any of you tried out the Training? For Bowling they put obstacles in the lane that you have to curve around, and another training course is they keep adding more and more pins and you gotta knock down as many as you can. It's fun stuff

Bah I think i get worse everytime I play. I either don't put enough spin on the ball, or I roll too slow and it hits the rear-end of the pins >_<

It's usually at a friends hose when I play, so could it be different for each TV and Wii sensor?

Heres another score for you guys to try and beat. Go to the training part of bowling. Select the middle square and try to be my score of 618. I got 3 strikes on bottow row and 2 strikes on top. One of which was the 91pin strike. (only did that twice so far and both hitting the wrong pocket.)

Keep at it... it takes a lot of practice. It'll get frustrating at times, but you'll get it. I'm two rolls away from a perfect game. That's the score posted above. I have to keep my concentration a little better, take a deep breath, and roll the "ball".

My high scor so far is a 221. still havent got to pro yet but havent played in a few days since ive been in ZTP. Im at a 992 though. my gf's high is 199 and is an 1100~ pro level.
