Hey everyone...
So I saw something cool this weekend. I went to Best Buy because I had to buy a laptop and when I got there they were previewing a new gaming chair. It was so cool. It's not what you expect. The chair is your controller. Its FREAKING motion sensitive. You move your whole body in it and as you do your plane, car, or what not moves around. It was sick. I got to actually try it out on NFS Carbon and I was like "this is AWESOME."

Sounds innovative. They'd really have to push it's sales to encourage a lot of games to adapt the technology.

I actually heard that this thing can be used for any game. I saw people play other games on it when I was at Best Buy and when I was buying my computer the clerk told me that he played GTA4 on it before the store got real busy. SO who knows.

Okay, so it works off of existing controls and stuff. That sounds pretty cool. I saw one recently that had speakers, inputs, and other stuff built in to it. Did this have all those also?

no it didn't. I don't think. But I could be wrong. I'm actually going to test it out this weekend again. So I'll look again. But hey if anything you may be able to build a stereo system into it. Dunno though. I don't really care, I have a great surround system in my house and so when I play the sound is pretty awesome, even when I play Super Mario Bros 3 on the Wii. . . lol.

Do you have the exact name/manufacturer of this chair?
It probably uses the same technology as the SIXAXIS controller for PS3.

Yea it's by 4th Motion and the chair is called Gyroxus. (http://videogamechair.gyroxus.com) And I do not think that it uses the same technology as the stupid sixaxis.

I dunno Arnie. I tested one out at Best Buy when 4th Motion was showing it to the public. I only got a couple of minutes with it. I'd check out their website (http://www.gyroxus.com) to see if they have any showings of it. I found it really interesting playing Need For Speed Carbon. It was really cool, once I got the hang of it.

This looks cool. I'm gonna get one of these things for playing Warhawk.

It looks like you can buy it here:
http://gyroxus.com/shop/product.aspx?partno=GSR-71B
'Please select what system when ordering' - only works with one console per chair?!

I got to test it out a couple of weeks and in fact you can switch out the controls but I don't think they are selling them individually yet for the chair so until then you do have to get the chair for the system you want to use it on.
