View Full Version : xbox 360 controller on when off

does any one elses controll light up when its off. i mean the x-ring in the middle of the controller. when mine is off it lights up half way. how do i fix it?

It shouldn't light up at all when it's off. It's it the wireless one? Maybe it needs to be charged.

sometimes it has a very very faint glow but, dont worry about it, it doesn't use up like any battery at all...

All 360 wireless controllers never turn off all the way. The lights stay faintly lit unless you take the battery pack off.

I never noticed mines being lit, even if it was just dim. I never noticed. Hmm..

Try taking off the batteries or the wire. Re-plugg/put them back in

yea its always dim mostly when its fully charge. i noticed it in my new one. so i guess it aint harmfull

you have to look very very carefully to see it usually also it isn't everytime i dont believe...

My lights turn all the way off..
turn off the lights and look again. I read an article on this in oxm when the 360 was first released...

My will be dimm sometimes. Just pull the pack off and then back on again and it wont be dimm anymore.

ive never seen either of mine become dim. but then again 90% of the time i turn off the controllers by unplugging the batt. pack. seems easier and faster than holding the button down to select off. it certainly keeps my batterys going strong for a long time.

since my counch is far away from my tv i have a chair i pull right in front of it so im usually only like 4-5 feet from it. i never play from the couch its to far unitl i ge tmy 65" 1080P. but i also have the media remote that shuts it off for me as well if im on the couch watching dvds or downloading or whatever.
