That chip is 4 years old and can be bought for $25. I guess the deal isnt to bad though. Personally I wouldnt buy a single core computer if you plan on gaming. Of course a gamer wouldng buy a s939 board and chip either lol.

Gaming Rig? That is more like a family computer, with only 1gb of ram and a 3000+ processor you won't be able to do much, not sure about that video card either.

This would make a good base computer, slowly upgrade it?

Yeah, this is far from a gaming computer. A few years ago, sure. But definitely not now. Good price though.

Not a bad deal considering the DDR memory is worth 25% of the entire price. If your looking for a spare computer or a cheap gift for someone its a good deal. Im currently looking at building a new quad core system, my new video card is on my door step now. :)
