Alright well my xbox 360 is sold, along with all my games and accessories, and I have enough to get a new system if I choose that route. I was confused about what system I should get if I get a new one? I sold my xbox 360 because I was literally bored of it. The last month I had it, I found myself only playing for 20 minutes until I go bored of it, even with online play.So now I am wondering, if I should get a new system, if so which one? Or if I should just not get any system? I would greatly appreciate opinions from the members who own, all three systems or even just one, but please try and help, I have been rereading old topics, and facts and info on google, but I just can't seem to make a choice, about what I should do.

THANKS FOR THE HELP! :whee:

Yes, this is what I was thinking, but I wasn't sure. My friend was telling me there is going to be another price drop around Christmas, but I don't know how true this is. Also I don't care about hard drive space, because its user upgradeable, but which version is the best, 20gb,40gb,60gb or 80gb?

Get a 360. Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Assassin's Creed, Kane and Lynch, Army of Two, GTA4, and many more plus great online play.

I am afraid if I get another 360 though, I will wind up selling it again. Also Halo 3 would not make me get another xbox 360, because I hear it gets very boring after some time playing it.

Get a PS3.
360 is a last gen posing as a current gen.
Also, it's fragile.
Not worth it.

Can people STOP fucking saying that? It's fucking annoying as hell. Tell me why the hell is it last generation? Give me multiple reasons, without saying it uses DVD's because that format reason is bullshit.

Kyle

No, I'll give you multiple reasons why the 360 is last gen and old fashioned, including DVDs, because there's no proof that it's not holding the system back, and there is proof that it IS.

- Using the DVD-9 Media Architecture - Not as much information can be stored on one disk, limiting the length and graphics quality of the games, as well as the quality of sound, as it must be highly compressed.

- Uses a proprietary hard drive which could be any speed, as there's no way to check model #s or compare.

- The 360 Does a maximum of 720p HD resolution in games.

- Does not come standard with a High Definition media reader, wireless connectivity, wireless controller, etc.

- Still uses an online service you have to pay extra for, instead of utilizing current internet connections

Extra reasons why it sucks as a console:

- Is a Microsoft product. Doesn't everyone know Microsoft is so 10 years ago?

- Microsoft stated on record that all 360's up to 4 months ago were defective, and it was just a matter of time before they failed.

- STILL DOESN'T HAVE A WEB BROWSER!

And don't come back with this "The PS3 has no games" shit. It's been out for a year less than the 360. Take the games a year from now, and compare them to games available up to today. PS3 will win, I'd bet my launch console on that.

I should have known before I even started this thread, that it would turn into a XBOX 360 VS PS3 thread. I know the pros and cons of both, but for some reason, I don't know which console would suit me more. I loved my xbox 360 until I stopped playing it, it just seemed so routine, and everything. I know the 360 has the live and the graphics, and all of my friends are on live, but I don't know if it will turn out the same way, me being bored, even playing on live with my friends.

It's not really a 360 VS PS3 thread.
It's a "Why the 360 is last gen" thread. lol

But seriously. If you've had a 360 before, and got bored of it you have two choices, depending on the kind of gamer you want to be.

Want to be a hardcore gamer, and like FPS games: PS3.
Want to be a casual gamer, and like adventure games: Wii.

Your choice, man.

Yea I knew it would be between, and xbox and a ps3, but its still such a hard choice. I guess I could possibly purchase a ps3, from walmart or some place with a good return policy and see how I like it.

Want more media functionality and upcoming hyped up games? PlayStation 3.
You must come up with a good reason in order to buy a Xbox 360 again. Example; lots of friends on XBL waiting for some kick-ass Call of Duty 4 action. If you don't, there is no reason at all why you should purchase a Xbox 360 again.
But seeing that you got bored of your Wii and Xbox 360. There is a moderate probability that you will get tired of a PlayStation 3.

If your a hardcore gamer id got with the 360.
If you dont want another tbh id save up for a PC.

Well the answer is pretty simply, if you got bored of the 360 you should get a PS3 or Wii. The PS3 is probably the safer bet though with more games, a decent online and blu-ray player.

You sold the 360 becuase you didnt play the games? What makes you think that the games on the PS3 are any better? 360 has the largest selectiion and most highly rated i would just suggest on buying nethier consoles as you will sell it again.

and the_ironist and pretty damn sure some 360 games do can 1080i VF5 and Virtua tennis do for sure.

I am not sure of the actually reason of me getting bored of my xbox 360. I was thinking about getting a ps3, because its a different flavor, and something new to play games on, with the blue ray player and all. The only thing that is stopping me from getting would be the online play. When playing online I like to mess around and have fun with the other players, I don't know if the ps3 is big on that.

As far as games are, the only games I am really hyped for, and want to play are COD4 and NFS:PS, and they are both on the PS3 and Xbox 360

Just imo i cant see why anybody want to own a PS3 unless your a movie whore or are realy into the playstation franchise's like tekken or MSG.

Lets be hounest these days all the better games are multiplatform like assians creed. Anyway no matter what you will buy you will sell it again.

Considering that you don't seem like much of a gamer, very casual. I wouldn't buy any then. Buy some shit for your quad.

See this is where it makes it hard, Both are great systems, but can anyone vouch for the online play of the ps3? Getting a ps3 would mean no more live sessions with friends [when we actually get the same game]

What I think I am going to do is wait till Christmas time, and see what games come out for both and everything like that, then I will try and decide. I was going to get the ps3 because of the blue ray player also, but where gonna have to see. Maybe someone will bring another price drop into the mix and will make my choice easier. The only thing stopping me from getting a ps3, is the fact about the online play. I like playing online with friends and everything, but I don't know why I got so bored, maybe it was my "Lack" of games or something?

ONLINE is WAY better on the 360, but thats also because you pay for the online, but i think for PS3 i would rather pay for online then have the PSN.

I wouldnt go with a ps3 just yet, maybe wait a bit.. till games come out, or it gets <_< >_> Hacked.

For now 360 Is your best choice, Sure the ps3 shot down in price, sure in has a few games comming out that might actually be good, and a blue ray player.

But seriously do you want a system that has to keep dropping its price and speaking in future tense? I love sony, The ps1 and ps2 were excellent systems, which blew the competition away.

The ps3 however is the equivilent of having a Hummer in the city.

If the 360 Bored you then go buy some other gadget, maybe a new ipod or laptop, The 360 imo is the best you can get, you might have to realize that with some time apart. =D
