Just started it so i have no clue whats next, except this cut..


There still needs to be a lot more cutting down with the window and the x(not even started) I will do some more tomorrow hopefully so heres just a picture. I KNOW IT LOOKS LIKE ****, just cuz it needs more cutting and stuff.


Also the x circle, will have a fan behind it and the x will be like the m$ symbol =]


Let me know what you think..

and honestly if i get a comment like , "that window looks like ****, just throw it out" Im gonna laugh because i stated a couple times, THAT I STILL HAVE A LOT MORE WORK TO DO ON THE CUTS.. =]

Did you read my post? Honestly, i stated numours times i was no were close to being done, but i wanted see what everyone thought of it, but

Im not even close to that stage, i need to clean up the edges with more cutting, but i can't do any more tonight, cuz im tired from my stupid state test today, lol that thing was beastly hard

Even I can cut holes that look super clean, but we have a machine shop where I work though.

You should goto your schools wood shop class and cut your stuff there.

A. Im only 13, (still developing my skills for cutting)
B. I used a jig saw in my garage
C. Im not done with it


and its summer, next year i have woods and metals i wanna see if i have a cool teacher who will let me do that..

Im also looking into finding someone with a cnc machine, and my uncle has a air brush, im hopfully gonna snag from him and im gonna try out airbrushing

It don't look much better, but its starting..


That x wont be cut for a couple of days since i need to go to the store to get a new bit, any suggestions of what kind for it?

Its definately better than your previous WIPs. Its definately got potential. Use lots and lots of sandpaper. You need to get those edges straight. And dont get upset if people tell you it sucks. That just means you have to work on it more.

I think the overall design your going for is awesome! I can't want to see the finished project. Have an idea of what color your going to paint it?

As far as paint and lighting goes i have a couple options

Ether:

Everything painted black and white with blue lighting or green lighting..


Or paint everything green with blue lighting or white lighting


Or the final one , were i think i may like more

Is one side of the case be green with blue lights, and the other side be blue with green lights..

Not really sure yet lol


EDIT:

i think i have decided on a paint colors..


Case will be flat black and the sides will be ether a metalic red or metalic silver, and the insides will be a flat black also with some red lighting

I do wood, metals and plastics in school its ace.

wow really is looking a lot better than your other one. You really have something going for your self there! When you do get to the painting stage i would recommend pep boys or auto zone over lowes or homedepot. Mainly because you have more "automotive" colors. also make sure you get the primer, paint, and clear from the same brand. get some 1000 and 2000 grit sandpaper also for after the color and after the clear. Duplicolor makes great paint and the have great colors. Good Luck

I had to resize the x circle and move, it a bit,

So a 60mm fan would fit flushly behind it

The cut is almost done, i need some light grit sand paper to smooth it out...

And i need a drill bit to cut that x circle out..

Its still a little wavy, so i need to do more sanding but its getting there..

EDIT V2: The paint will be something metalic, i see that duplicolor has a clear coat with metal specs in it, so i can get like a flat black and the clear it with metal flake...

Its gonna be hard with the color i choose, soo yea..

Update, x circle is done, and a 60mm fan fits perfectly behind it...


Still needs lots of sanding, im thinking i might do a x for the air duct too? Idk yet. I also did a dvd dut, but looks too much like crap to post right now lol

I think the case outline though is pretty good, i have been sanding and cutting for like an hour so it better of came out good..

Mine is far from perfect too but this is kind of what you should shoot for. Man I really need to finish this case lol

I was thinking of putting so black edging around all the cuts except the x cut,

Im not to sure i like that x there ... I may just trash it and have a square window and mout a fan directly to the plexi.

EDIT:V2 I think im going to loose the cut and just drill a big circle hole and put a fan grill there..

As for paint i think i want to do a nice metalic red, with like silver sides, and silver air duct, clear dvd window, and red lighting

dude your x looks tight .. but like lethal also said, if you can sand it down and make it just a lil thinner then itll be dope..
over all for my personal opinion id continue to do work on it and go from there cause the case still has potinental "sp" to it.... unless you just arent feelin it no more?????

Sorry man, no i was not feeling the x, i did take lethal's advice and sanded it really nice, but it just didn't fit with the case..


Update:



In the process of test fitting now, and im going with a very traditional pant job,

All black with a couple chrome or silver pieces with blue leds..


Also the dvd drive cut was a disaster, so im ordering one from llamma



I thought instead of glue nuts and bolts would work better, and i was right it looks much cleaner, and the bolts will ether be painted black or the chrome or silver color i choose..

And when i get everything,

I will be adding so blue lights, and hopefully modding a pelican cooler to run of 12v from the console with a fan controller,


And for the paint its gonna be mostly black with a few chrome peices, i should be paint it soon, i just need to get my items first lol

Dont paint anything yet. Your edges arent right. Use a tape measure and mark the same distance around and sand until you reach that mark. You want straight edges and yours arent straight. I have to make everything perfect or it goes in the trash. If my suggestions make you mad I will stop.

Yea dude, i know, i just had to test fit things to make sure erything fit ok, i still need to smooth the edges better, but honestly i don't know how much better i will get them..

Its not finished yet, needs a dvd drive cover and leds and a extra fan and whispers and stuff like that, but basically the paint and cuts are all done and so is the hard drive with the window and some blue leds..

I need to place and order for some stuff, so it should be finished in a couple weeks ?

YES I KNOW, there is no fan duct, its being panted at the moment gosh =]

The leds in the hard drive are brighter than in the pictures, ill try and take a video of the hard drive leds and the leds inside when there installed..
