Okay so I've set up media sharing through my PC with Windows Media Player 11 so I can stream things on my 360. I've added all of the media I want to be streamed to my library and set it to allow streaming to my 360. Now when I connect with my PC it only shows 9 videos in my library, and only a few hundred songs when I have a lot more than that in my library. It's only showing the media that I've had in there for a long time. How do I get it so it will also let me stream the media I've just added to my library?

It's all in the correct format, right? mp3, wmv, etc... I have mine set up through zune on my xp pc since I don't have a media center pc. On that program you can select what folders you want your 360 to stream from. I created a folder and put all the files in there. Or just make sure that each individual folder that contains your music/movies is on the list of folders to stream from...

Do you have to have media center edition to stream via wmp?

If you have a windows media center pc then you can set it up according to the directions on your 360. If you don't then you can do it by installing Zune software on your pc... if you need help w/ that pm me.

Well I tried it via Zune now and it still just shows the same files.

First... open the zune program and click on options, then library, then media sharing. Make sure that music, video and pictures are selected. Then go to options, and click "add folder to library..." and make sure that any folders on your comp that contain music/video/pics that you want to stream are on this list. If not then add them to it. And the 360 can only stream things that it supports (wmv, mp3, gif, jpg...)

Are they protected files?
