The Xbox 360 only looks the best right now because they've had the most time to launch games and sort out bugs. I think a year or two down the line the PS3 will beat the living crap outta the 360.

However, the Wii shall do the best because it appeals to people of all ages.

Anyone here old enough to remember the release of PS1? It was an overly expensive system that had little to offer but a namebrand. No one I knew, knew about it until 2 years after it came out, or what I had shown them. Then suddenly EXPLOSION of fan-boyism. That system rocked alot of socks off. PS2 had it's faults upon release too. (Oooh you can't mod it as hardcore as an X-box! Woopedy doo! I don't want to hear that argument) I say PS3 will be the same late bloomer, and won't be able to show it's true colors for a while. Let's sidetrack and look at the PSP...there's hardly any good games for it. Seriously. It's modding/homebrew thing has already made it a "great app", but not a killer gaming handheld. Not THE killer app mind you, but in the future with a decent lineup out every month, it'll be quite the powerful handheld, with availability of much expansion. Wait for the true gaming goodness. Now back to the ps3. I know the ps3 and other "new gens" are leaning a bit towards "general entertainment machines" (G.E.M.s, quote me for the new name :P) but there's still classy "console gaming" there. If this race is all about GAMING, then wee. Let these systems deal with the beginning rush of having to make the numbers count for the holidays, then see what happens when that silly game is over. I say they get more games, and more favorable franchises, and they bite whatever dickheads off as needed, to get more sales. I'd like to not judge this on marketing and sales, but I'm not sure you simple minded kids can hang with that. Too much advertisement manipulates. I see it here all the time. (won't get into that now.) We're in it for the "gaming" right?

Sober or not, you guys need to keep from the doodoo ass, two word, "It sucks", responses and voice your opinions on matters. Please, I beg of you, anyone, to show YOUR nuts and brains, instead of those that which everyone else tells you to show. I support these other systems as well, and I'm not trying to be a faggy fanboy. I just want some REAL input from everyone. We all get so little of that around here. Few members get "deep".

I voted Wii but I would be happy with the 360 winning and Wii 2nd. The PlayStation has dominated the gaming market for over 10 years now, it would be nice to see the competition more balanced.

I think the 360 will be the leader throughout the next 5+ years. The online component has made the Xbox name flourish like no other. That's where it's at.

In the short run the 360 has the win. But I can promise that overall I see more people than ever owning more than 1 system. This has been the year of electronics... more money invested in electronics than ever before.

i picked 360.... i played a jap ps3 today in town and it was just utter shizz.....i think it was ridge racer or something, but it looked no different from a ps2 at all.

360, no question. Sales for it are already the highest (well... I guess that goes without saying since it's been out the longest) and when Halo 3 comes out sales are are gonna go through the roof. Also, out of all those three, the 360 is the most durable and has the least bugs.

However, the Wii is really fun and inivative with some pretty neet ad-ons. But it's got some bugs, some of the ad-ons are a little unnecessary and a bit odd to use, and the main thing is the lack of good games out for it already. It's got Zelda, (I guess) Rayman, and of course the game that comes with it, Wii Sports that are the only games really worth 60 bucks. Not saying that those games are totally worth purchasing and when Wario Ware is available it will be added to that list. But the 360's list is much longer and like I said before, not many bugs.

And of course the PS3 goes without saying... Litterally, I'm not going to go into detail because it's got just about everything wrong with it besides superb graphics.

If you can afford a PS3, eventually it's true potential WILL show. Will it catch up? I read an article a few days ago about how it's going to take Sony 5-6 years to show profit again in the PS3 department. Not good for them.

Wii? I'm sure it won't end up like the Gamecube, but I'm also not positive it will maintain it's popularity that it has now. It could go either way.

360 is the in between. It has the best online play, not THAT bad of a price tag, and it's already got some excellent games out, even if you don't have an HDTV. You can't say that about the PS3.

Xbox 360 personally. Its got great games, a load of users, good GFX. It may not be as interactive as the Nintendo Wii but it offers more mature games.

The wii is awesome, but it's made for crazy japanese fun time, not first person shooters or a number of other "normal" games. I do agree with you tho, it's probably the most fun but as I've said before I believe 360 will win the sales "war".

It'll definitely win in America imo b/c that's who it wants to appeal to the most. Japan is into some funky games!
