So who has this game so far? I recieved it as an early Christmas present on Friday. I can't believe I didn't get this game sooner.
I haven't played Zelda in YEARS, since Majora's Mask on N64. It's still taking me quite a while to get past parts, I've played in total around six and a half hours, and I'm only on the first temple.
But ''for reals'', this is THE current killer app for the Wii, and will be until something else tries to get the top spot, like Mario or somethingg.
Discuss!

I personally haven't played this game in 3 weeks :(. Now that I'm on break, I might be able to play it more.

I also just beat the forest temple. I did the next tears of light and stopped. This game is so damn great!!!! This game would be so incredibly amazing with next gen graphics. I wish Nintendo would make a zelda game for the 360 lol. The only gripe I have with the Wii version is the controls. When I was trying to fight the end boss of the Forest Temple it was annoying when I was trying to throw the bombs with the boomerang but I had to get the red target to show up on the screen first. Sometimes it wouldnt pop right up and I kept getting killed.

LOL, I've played it 10 hours so far.
I was on my lappy at the time, so I had my friend beat the boss for me. LOL
I figured I could, just need to know HOW to beat him, and have patience.

Well, do you think it still has good replay value? Would you find yourself still playing it, trying to do other small things in it. Also does this game tell you what % done you are, or just the time played?

i think it just tells u time played. i might start playing it again.

Oh, so there is like, side quests in the game you can do, or stuff you can collect. So once you've beaten all the temples, you can still do more stuff to complete the entire game.

Plenty of side quests. Heart peices, golden bugs, poes, upgrades are all sidequests that take plenty of time. 1 dungeon alone takes 2.5 to 3.5 hours to complete. so its a great game, and eventually ill sit and play through it all again. but i have about 90 games in my back log i need to start first. :-)

Hey, if I have never played any other Zelda's before, should I play this one? My cousin thinks that I should play the previous ones first.
Yes, I know it's shameful to many gamers to have not played a Zelda yet, but it just didn't happen.

You sicken me...
It's OK, you don't have to have played other ones. N64 is obviously very different from the Wii, so you're good with that. It's a completely different story, so no problems there either.
It really doesn't matter.

But when Zelda: Ocarina of Time comes to the Virtual Console, downlaod it then , and play it then. It was REALLY fun.

So... My friend has Twilight Princess.
And I always thought Zelda was lame.
Til I popped it in the other night...
And well, I have basically refused to leave this couch for two days...
Yup.
