An interesting article pops up on Rueters website this morning...

Apparently Konami doesn't appear to pleased with the userbase that the lackluster PS3 sales has generated. Kazumi Kitaue, the head of Konami's North American and European operations, commented that Konami may need to expand the target hardware for its blockbuster fighting game "Metal Gear Solid", which has so far been developed for Sony's PlayStation machines, to other consoles in the future to recoup development costs.

While it's far from a confirmation that the 360 will get MGS 4, it is apparent that Sony needs to get its' userbase expanded greatly. The recent price drop may be the spark that will keep PS3 "exclusives", on the PS3, and out of the hands of 360 owners. How's that going to go down with Sony fanboys ?

It'll probably be a timed exclusive.. they might release it like a year later on the 360. In which case, I wont give a damn cos I'll have completed it like 3 times by then :D And I'll be eagerly anticipating MGS5.

Konami still says the PS3 is overpriced, they can't put as much features into games because of Blu-Ray. Hmm.

Its more down to Kojima though, when it comes to exclusitivity or multi-platform... He hasnt said anything yet. They'll probably keep it on PS3, and see how the sales go, THEN decide to release it on the 360 or not.

That seems to be the consensus on other sites that I've read today about the subject.

The Xbox 360 version is going to be released a few months after the PS3 release.

"It's been rumored all too often, but no matter how many times the makers of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots try to hush the buzz, more reports of the game porting to the Microsoft Xbox 360 are surfacing.

GamePro reports that a trailer for the game in Japan hints of a winter release. That should mean anytime between December and February of this year and the next one. The official Xbox Magazine then says that a reliable source told them that the Xbox 360 version would come "a few months" after the Sony PlayStation 3's debut of MGS4.

It can be recalled that Konami top cat Kazumi Kitaue was quoted with a statement that fanned the rumor flames at a high point. "Since Metal Gear Solid was born for the PlayStation, we would like to keep it a PlayStation game. But we might have to take some steps," he said as he pointed to the current install base and sales figures of the PS3."

Nope not at all, iam 100% sure that MGS4 won't be on the 360 as I am sure halo won't come to PS3.

You can never be 100% sure man....think about it. Unless they confirm that it will 100% wont be on 360, you can't be so sure.

You should play the second one its the best out of all of them IMO.
Even if MGS on PS3 stays exclusive its not going to sell loads of systems like halo 3 will :D
