The Gamecube was the hottest selling system when it released with a fantastic name backing it up. We all know how the Gamecube ended. Now my question is do you think the Wii will end up like the Gamecube. So far it does seem that way. Ex.(Far Cry,COD3)

Yeah It may. I don't think the controller will be able to hold the system for long.

I agree. Right now the only game I like the Wiimote for is Wii Sports. I cant stand that remote for FPS. I tried playing Far Cry. Good lord the controls bite. And the graphics looked like a PS1 game. I think Nintendo is really going to regret not upgrading the graphics to atleast stay in content with Sony and M$.

I think the Wii is a lot more advanced than the gamecube, and is competing well with the other nex-gs. better than the Gamecube so far.

Personally, I dont think Nintendo Cared about improving the Nintendo Wii's GFX to complete with the PS3 and the Xbox 360. I think they were aiming for a new kind of console and a new way of playing.
I voted for No (The controller will always keep gamers playing)

I dont think the Wii will last much longer tbh, its a bit of a gimmick, and personally I think Nintendo messed it up big time.
I voted Yes (The controller phase will pass)

I think that a lot more games are going to show up that utilise the controller, hopefully the Wii will last longer than the Cube. The GameCube had some great memorable games but the lack of third party support did hinder its success. I'm not really a graphics wh**e so that aspect isn't really an issue (I mean I loved the Wind Wakers cell shaded visuals).
A few less badly ported last gen games would help the Wii. Games like Far Cry Vengeance, GT Pro Series, Monster 4x4 World Circuit, Cars, Rampage: Total Destruction and Rapala Tournament Fishing aren't doing the Wii any favours.

That was their first mistake. Have you read any reviews on their games lately? Pop Far Cry in and tell me what you think of the graphics and controls lol.
I voted "YES graphics will ultimately be a factor"

I think that the controller will always be fun to use, and I think that more games will only get better with using the wiiote. It won't have the same fate as the GCN.

I voted Graphics don't make the game. granted it hurts some games. but alot of games get half assed and rushed. i love Zelda and the graphics look pretty dam good for a GC port. But Nintendo will always have the best first party support for games. Sony and ms don't make great games for themselves (unless they bought them of course). and the game cube was still fairly successful maybe not in terms of systems sold, but like the wii they are designed to make profit from the get go unlike sony and ms which lose money for every console sold. I am no fan boy so i enjoy all the consoles. i still play all my consoles. and honestly i think the Wii is capable of 720p and 1080i based on hardware and might be as simple as an update (ie the 360 1080p update) the amount of component cables they sell will show them what demand there is for it.and who know maybe nintendo will release a second version all together with DVD playback and HD abilities. but as long as Nintendo makes great first party games i will have a Wii. support from bigger companies like SquareEnix will also help as well.

To be honest, I think the Wii will give out eventually becuase it's a little gimmicky, but it will last longer than the Gamecube did becuase there's still room for further innovation. The compatability with old games will help as well, along with web browsing.
However, I think that the Wii seems to be on a different level than the PS3 and 360. The graphics will put Sony and Nintendo ahead, but the Wii seems more on par with 2nd gen systems to me.
