connecting queries

hey i'am getting a 360 for christmas and when connecting to live do i only need my router plugged into the phone line and 360 to get connected or does it need to be plugged into our computer aswell?

Do the wirless adapters that you plug into your 360 get good speeds or should i just stick with the ethernet cord?

do i need to do any configuring to routers ports to get connected?

Ok...

You just need your Xbox 360 to be plugged into a router connected to a modem to connect it.

A direct connection is better than a wireless. Stick with the cable.

No configering needed.

Make sure your router is Xbox Live Compatible

Yeah you need high speed (DSL, Cable) not Dial-Up... And you need a direct connection to your router not you computer. And ethernet is better unless it will get in the way, the wireless is pretty good, not too much slower...

Also, come on man, you know the rules. Don't bump within 24 hours...
