yep, rumors about microsoft joining the bandwagon. I thought just the PSP trying to get in the way of the ledgendary game-boys was enough to make people mad, but now microsoft?! anyone else care to share their anger about this?

I don't think it matters what Microsoft does. I think that Microsoft is closely bordering pc's for capabilities. And this fact alone is making me leave them behind. The only reason why I bought an xbox was for Sega's support, and now that Sega seems to be developing more pc wise, i have a feeling I won't need the X-poo anymore.

Even though this is old, I wouldn't like MS to make a handheld. I haven't got an X-Box but I want a 360 and I'm getting a PSP soon so I'd spend WAAAAAY to much money.

I don't think it would be possible, Nintendo already has the copyright on their system capabilities and what Microsoft could do is just play around with a Microsoft made PSP version more or less. Even if Microsoft dominates the handheld market on the PocketPC area Nintendo still has copyright on the touchscreen. And to make thumbsticks for a portable? It would be too messy and play around Halo portable, even how much it would rock the console would be a rock, big heavy and probably expensive to the bone and not even conquer with PSP, which I would love if Microsoft could smack the teeth out of these Sony guys which is just as annoying as Crazy Frog on the market.

Haha, Ok, Well I don't think about a Microsoft console in this generation, maybe in a couple of years tho which would be very possible, but at this standpoint it would be too expensive and hard.

Now that i own both i can make a pretty compelling argument on how the 2 are equal. I think it would be nice. It would create a better Price war with the handhelds. I miss the days of being able to use the console games on a handheld platform (ex. tg16-turboexpress & genesis-Nomad). How great would it be to play a game save your progress & continue on the road.

I met a guy who worked at game stop last night. He stated that in July/August of 2007 MS would release two different hand held systems. One being portable music, video, etc and the other being a straight portable gaming system. Any word on these?
