No. These are the ones you use to upgrade. Also the ones you can use to get 3.02 OE. :)

When downloading the file US 1.5 firmware it shows a size of 13MB but it stops at 234KB only.
I need your advise on what is wrong and what to do.
Thank you in advance.

Try right clicking on the one you want to download and selecting "Save Target As" and save it where you want and it should download fine.
Or if you're using Firefox it's "Save Link As" instead of Save Target As.
I've tested all the links on three different connections (DLS, CABLE, DIALUP) and all of them worked fine for me.

Hey, about the 1.50 eboot, it says US 1.50 Firmware. I thought that there was only a Jap 1.50 eboot, since the US launch PSPs had 1.50 already.

Here's the 3.30 update. Hasn't even been released on the official Playstation site, yet.
http://www.mediafire.com/?000g4gtllyy - no pass
There's no official changelog, but here's a little something something :
-display thumbnails under RSS Channel
-expanded support for downloaded PSOne games
-support for displaying thumbnails for files in VIDEO folder
-option to set Disc-Load speed to Fast or Normal
Do NOT download and install if you enjoy your homebrew.

Until its been released on the official site, I wouldnt reccomend using it for any purpose.

To update to 2.8, make a folder called "UPDATE" in the PSP folder of your mem stick. Place the eboot in it, make sure your battery is charged, and run it. :D

Glad to be of help, TBG. :D
Here's an update, to the 3.30 firmware update I posted. Apparently the official US site is being weird about it for some reason, but after a few refreshes it shows, then reverts back to 3.11. Anyways, it is legit, and here's the changelog. I've checked around on this:
This update is for those who own PSP units with model number PSP-1001 ONLY. If you happen to have purchased your handheld outside the US, don't attempt to perform this update at all.
It is true that video game compatibility has been improved as the list of supported PlayStation Network (PSN) titles has been expanded.
It is true that thumbnail images of items has been added to the RSS channel.
It is also true that thumbnail images of videos stored in the "Video" folder of your memory stick.
The following formats are also now playable in the said "Video" folder: MPEG-4/H.264 AVC Main Profile (AVC CABAC) with sizes 720x480, 352x480, and 480x272
Most importantly, a "Use Wireless Hotspot" feature has been added under Network Settings. (sweet!)
The file again - http://www.mediafire.com/?000g4gtllyy - no pass
Again, DO NOT download if you enjoy your homebrew. Unless if your genius self happens to have two PSP's. :D

Does this mean a 3.30 PSP can play fullscreen MP4 AVC videos?
If it does is there a free program that converts video to 480x272 MP4 AVC, or maybe a new setting for 3GP Converter?
EDIT: I'm downloading a new version of PSPVideo9 that seems to have 480x272 support, will report back if/when it works
The new version of PSPVideo9 (http://www.pspvideo9.com/) works perfectly, full screen video is much better 8)
i have updated the first post to include the North American 3.40 firmware eboot file.
