xbox 360 glitches

so i was reading on the net today that a lot of the xbox 360s are having lots of glitches, they are freezing up and then they show an error message, some people say thay can't play their xbox for more than ten minutes without it crashing, i bet this is going to cost microsoft tons of money for all of the people who need to have their xbox returned, replaced, or repaired. i find this quite humorus but hey, what do you expect i hate everything but nintendo.

Well, I'm thankful nothing like that has happened to my 360 yet. However, it did freeze for a moment when I was playing Quake, but it fixed itself. Since that, I have had no issues.

My friend who works at Best Buy told me about this, and this freezing thing is a part of the reason why the majority of 360s will be delayed until post christmas.

Yeah, it was pretty predictable. Think about it, Microsoft is trying to push a worldwide launch. They have to rush to get done as many as they can...there has to be a cost for that. And im sorry to say it was the quality of the 360s. Now im glad I didnt get one.

Every single Sony product I've had has been flawless.

I beg to differ. The PS2 'Disk read error' happened everytime I turn one on.

I watched an episode of x-play one time and they were testing wich system was the strongest, and guess what broke first? Yup, the PS2. On the first test I believe. Then the Xbox broke a few test later.....and the Gamecube of all won. That goes to show Nintendo isnt cheap.

I would expect that, Gamecube is alot more powerful than PS2, thats why when they port they have to lower the grahics, the system can't cope at all. My Gamecube is like 4 years old and have never had any problems. Nintendo sells good quality systems, it's just that people don't realise with Microsoft and Sony clouding thier vision. Nintendo just wants to do something different, don't get me wrong, it's great. But the timing is just bad, plain bad. They should realise that they should release before Sony and Microsoft in order to give the console a chance. By the time they release everyone will be all over Xbox 360 and PS3 (expect for a few of us)

I hate to rain on this biased parade, but me personally, and all the people I know who've owned a ps2, have not had a single problem with it.

Also, of course the gamecube would be stronger, they have to make so much LESS systems that Sony does, they are stronger by default.

I suppose you have a point. Sony makes laptops and other electronics too, so I guess Nintendo have time to make sure this one system doesn't brake.
I had a few DREs on mine too, and the fan makes alot of noise sometimes if it's played for a long time, but most of the time it's fine. I mean you would have to have no common sense whatsoever to drop the PS2 multiple times[ I mean, unless you're a traveler, you should leave it where it is, right?]

And considering that this was Nintendo's first Gaming system with a disk. But from what I saw from my friend's GC, They broke alot (They are hell on systems though.)

i dropped my ds the first time and the hinge broke off, but i have had no problem whatsoever with my gamecube and it was a launch gamecube so i have had it for a very long time, and i know tons of people(at least ten) who have had to buy a new ps2 because theirs broke.
