View Full Version : Is GBA a thing of the past?

Well, the DS has been out for a while do you think the GBA games will be discontinued? When GBA came out, the GBC games died, and when the PS2 came, PS1 games died. How much longer do you think GBA games have, or is it too soon to say?
I hope the GBA games dont end because they are great games!

I think since the DS has the GBA slot it'll be alive for a little while longer

The DS wasn't supposed to be an improved GBA (like the GBC to GBA), it was built as a new system. So until an improved GBA is made, they will continue with new GBA games.

you think they are going to make a new GBA? I think the best GBA made was the original GBA. They should remake that one if they remake any of them.

i agree, the first one was the best for me, it fit perfectly in my hands, the only problem with it was the fact there was no backlit screen and it didnt have rechargeable batteries, i still use my gba to this day whenever i play my gba games.

there was one major malfunction with the original GBA: The battery case. Everyone I know that has a GBA, Either the battery case lid is missing, or it broke off, or both. Mine broke, so I have a big slab of duct tape holding it on :)

hey, that happened to mee also...twice i found a third pary three pack of gba battery covers and ive broken all but one. but that aside i still think the original gba was great, they should improve on that version, the gbasp just made my hands cramp when i played my brothers, sortof like the ds, but worse.

haha i didnt know that was such a problem, cause my battery case broke too! I have some white cover i got from a recharge pack, and have scotch tape over it.

yeah, the only problem i found with the original GBA was there was no lighted screen, i have to use this Nyko light, but the reflection of the light is really bright off the screen, so it's hard to use it sometimes.
