I know right away that most of you here will think this is bogus, but I am a determined fan.

Haven't all of you always wished there was a Super Smash Bros. title on the DS? I mean come on, online deathmatches with friends or across the globe? New characters and levels, touch screen battles perhaps? I don't see how it couldn't sound appealing! If you loved the Nintendo 64 and/or Gamecube versions, why wouldn't this be 10 times better?

Here's my "proposal."

Some guy is sending a petition into Nintendo that is asking for a Nintendo DS port of Super Smash Bros. Sound's dumb and fruitless right? Well yeah, maybe, but it only takes about 2 seconds to add your name to the supporters list, so why not ease our worried minds (Us huge SSB fans) and go ahead and do it?

I don't know if you all know this, but there was a project to make this game last August, but it got cancelled due a problem with the developing company, which I can't remember the name of. But I'm not sure why they weren't using Nintendo. After the project got cancelled, that company tried to make an SSB-like game of their own with non-Nintendo characters/maps/etc. and Nintendo stopped it for obvious reasons, but the company never came back to finish work on the project.

That's why we don't have an SSB title on DS. But this petition is basically to get them off their asses, if you'll pardon my French.

I am starting to get annoyed of people complaining that they want SSB DS. If you go on the nintendo forums that is what they are constantly talking about. Your complaining about wanting the game won't mean that they will make it. Just let Nintendo do their work and decide on their own. They are already focusing on one SSB game for the wii, so right now they probably to busy to work on another one. I have a feeling they will eventually make it though.

If you actually pay attention, SSB: DS was cancelled a few months ago the project was scrapped, the company instead decided to drop SSB: DS to throw support behind, Super Smash Brothers. Brawl for the Wii, you have to get over this dream, no one wants to make a SSB: DS, all attempts have been scrapped, so: GET OVER IT!
