Thats some good news to hear have to call up my local EB and see what theyre plans are.

They also have a deal on Activision games $19.99 and up. Buy two, get $15 mail-in gift voucher, buy 3 get $25. The ad specifically mentions Spider-Man 2 and THUG 2 Remix for PSP, as well as Doom 3 CE for Xbox. Says it can't be combined with other offers, unfortunately.

EB called me yesterday, but i didnt pick up the phone cause i was at my golf lesson (no laughing!)

they didnt leave a message, and they never do, which kinda pisses me off.

later that night when i got home, my friend calls me and plays a message that was left on his machine. it was EB saying that the PSP would be in THIS thursday.

now the message was pretty shitty, cause his answering machine is breaking. but it sure as hell sounded like we can pick them up this thursday.

i'm not getting too excited because of the whole street date thing. being a former manager of funcoland and suncoast, i understand street date pretty well.

im gonna swing by EB this afternoon and see whats up.

This is the first time I've preordered from this EB location. All the other's have called me in the past but I'm wondering if this location will actually call at all.

I went up there on Sunday to talk to someone and the dude told me he had no idea what the cut off date was for 1st shipment, he said he would have to count the number of pre-orders and cross check with the number of units they were supposed to get and all this other mess. I'm thinking the dude had a rough Sat. night and he was the only one to open the store. Not only that but I bet management hasn't told the employees a thing. He didn't know anything about a midnight sale and he didn't know how much the warranty would be.

It benefits them not you. I walked into a store the day after launch and got mine.

EB will always be a crappy store when you have to pre pay for items to actually get them. That's just garbage.

I don't mind putting money (some, not all) down for something I really want that may be in short supply (as I thought the PSP would be) or if I get cool extras like an art book or something like that. It's when they don't hold peoples pre-orders or don't get enough to meet their pre-orders that I have a problem.
