Multiple 9's on the PSP, not a single one on DS. Something to put into perspective to the nintendo fanboys

I think they thought a little too hard when trying to create an innovative system and ended up with a ridiculous piece of gadgetry that no one really gives a damn about.

If noone gave a damn why is it outselling PSP in Asia?

They are both great systems and both deserve a good score. I don't see how anybody could hate either.

You guys are a lot easier on Nintendo fans than they are on us. I like that.

I liked the DS when it first came out, but tickling Pikachu to make him run around a track and managing a virtual person's bladder isn't exactly my idea of fun.

Until I see some Castlevania/Final Fantasy action, I'm all PSP.

I have no problem owning multiple consoles. I have a gameboy sp and a psp. They are each good for different types of gameplaying. When Nintendo comes out with the next gameboy I will probably get it as well, provided they don't go all 'innovative' like they did with the DS. Uggh.

I verry nearly bought a DS on impulse, went online to the DS forums and it was all about bashing the psp not talking about what they liked about the DS so I waited and glad I did. If you are only gonna own one handheld its gotta be a PSP!

Wow! I had no idea there were so many immature fanboys here.

Personally, I love the DS. It is much more sturdy than the PSP. The touch screen has some very cool potential and I believe that my favorite genre (RTS) will be well represented on the system. Plus, I have a thing for quirky games. The main problem is lack of games and developers making slightly upgrade GBA games.

Now obviously the PSP blows the DS out of the water in terms of Power and Functions. It is a sexy system that finally puts a consoles in your hand. But so far the games (with the exception of Lumines) are pretty much run of the mill.

I look at it this way. The DS is like some funky little independant movie and the PSP is like a summer blockbuster. I have room for both but they really shouldn't be compared.

It might be that Nintendo just released a bunch of different colored DSes for giddy Japanese school children?

I remember the Penny Arcade guys saying they were able to get both systems to coexist peacefully. They used the DS Pictochat to coordinate multiplayer with their PSP. :P

I agree with everything you said. Both are valid platforms and I'll enjoy having both when the DS gets a little bit bigger library. Namely Meteos, Metroid, Castlevania, & Nanostray
