I've heard recently that sony just got sued by immersion and sony has to pay immersion $90.7 million and have to stop sales of their playstations and playstation portables units in the USA. Can someone confirm if this is real or is it just april fools :?:

Sony has been sued by Immersion over the use of their Dual Shock rumble feature.

Don't know exactly what this will mean for the PS2. It has nothing at all to do with the PSP, though, since there is no force feedback on it.

They only have to stop selling PS2 and some games that have something to do with the controllers. But if they pay the money (which will hurt) wont they be able to sell again??

it'll mainly end up with Sony handing a big wad of cash over to immersion. Microsoft was smart and settleed earlier for something liek 20-30 million. Sony will probably have to pay at least twice as much now.
