PS3 has the name to be desired. We all know Playstation is a very famous word, and it has many loyal fans dedicated to that itself. Its also more powerful (slightly) and the new models coming out soon only add to that power.

They think there should be a "Next Gen Console" Well theres really not, In my eyes the consoles are for the desired consumer, Yes if you look at the numbers 1 console is more powerful than the other, but i was talking with my friends today , and half of them said they don't care about the graphics, it's more of the gameplay..


I own a X360 and a Wii, I love them both, when i wanna have a good time, then i go for my wii, but when i wanna be a serious hardcore gamer i pick up my 360 controller, so in the eyes of the consumer there is no NEXT GEN
CONSOLE because half of them will have a x360 or a ps3 AND wii.. If you ask me the next gen war was one buy x360 when ps3 first announced the price, i bet that brought it down for many gamers such as myself, And to myself it was not worht 600$ for a system when i got myself a wii and a xbox 360 istead of 1 gaming system, I got a hardrcore system and a fun system..So idc what anyone says there is no real next gen console i don't give a f_ck about the dam numbers, it comes down to GAMEPLAY AND GRAPHICS not the f_cking ram and processor or sh_t like that it comes down to the games and gamer not the console itself...

GRAPHICS/GAMES/GAMERS is what makes a next gen console, it my oppinion sony lost this one with the incredibly high price, i think when you look at it you can go to the store and get the Wii and the xbox 360 for the price of the wii and you get the best of both worlds with FUN and Hardcore gaming!

The only way Sony would ever take top spot would be if they could not only keep up with XBL Marketplace but surpass it. Right now navigating the PS3 store sucks. Its boring to look at and the pointer is slow. Sony has alot of work to do and I just dont see Sony catching Microsoft this time. 1yr gap is just much too long.

So you think a white gamecube is next gen? But not Sonys entirely new cpu and gpu chips? Not to mention the extremely accurate six axis that is far more accurate than the Wii's light sensors. There is a reason why the Wii doesnt need updates to play gamecube games.....coughLASTGENcough!!!!!!

The Wii is and will only be a sports/party console. FPS games look horrible on the system. Anybody pumped for the new Cooking Mama coming out?!!!!!!

P.S. I am not a fanboy to any system. I play the Wii more than any other system but I am no fool. It doesnt take a very smart person to realize the wiimote gimmick will die very fast if Nintendo cant make the sensory more accurate. The delay is too much and is very annoying at times.

What i would like to happen is that people forget the ps3 and buy a 360 and a wii so they'll have the best of both worlds and all wiil be well.

But i have a feeling that this time next year things will be looking up for sony and there ps3 and they'll overtake the wii and the 360.I know all the signs point away from that happening but i have a feeling.....

$50 a year is a very small price to pay for the quality of the marketplace. You also get all of your stats stored online. M$ is pure genious when it comes to marketing.

It's cool, but you don't like it ? Kinda contradictory. As far as needing Live to enjoy the games, that's the good thing about the online play. The PS3 doesn't have any uniformity on how the games will be structured for online play. There isn't any requirements for quality assurance for any of the online components for the games. It's up to each developer to do whatever they wish. This is a step backwards. Some people look at the "free" online play as a plus over Xbox Live. What you get with Xbox Live is soooo much more than simple multiplayer games.

In the "broadband" era, with next-gen consoles, the online play will an integral part of the consoles success or failure. I don't think, by any means, that the PS3 will fail. Far from it. I just don't think it will be as successful as the Xbox 360.

It is also going to take a lot longer before Sony can recoup the losses that it takes on the hardware. With so little systems in the market, that means less and less software and peripheral sales. In turn, this is going to keep profit down.

Make no mistake about it; this is the next-gen and it will be a war. Microsoft is pulling out all the stops right now, while Sony tries to play catch-up. Who will win ? No one knows. You can read all the articles you want, and you can believe them if you want to keep living in a state of disillusion. There are arguments on both sides of the fence, and points can be made out of just about anything. As long as the systems are selling, and the software/periphs are going with those systems, the console will be successful.

Have you played boxing? Huge delay. How about Far Cry? There is a delay that you cant fix. Editing the setting does nothing, ive tried. Maybe I notice this delay more because Ive been playing around with the PS3 six axis. It has pin point precision. Almost to precise. There is no way the Wii will come in any place but last. Its going to take alot more than a controller.

Take Excite Truck for the Wii. Plays the same way you would with the PS3 controller. Except one difference. The PS3 has much better precision with the steering than the Wii. Might not be able to do a whole lot with the PS3 controller but when its used its being used to the fullist.
