"Take-Two's decision to temporarily suspend distribution of Manhunt 2 is a victory for parents and children," the statement reads. "Because of the their thoughtful decision to give Manhunt 2 its strongest rating, 'Adults Only,' the ESRB has sent a strong message to Take-Two and other game makers that they no longer can push the envelope on gratuitous violence in videogames. The ESRB showed real leadership in assigning this rating and further evidence it is making significant progress in keeping extremely violent and graphic materials out of children's hands.


Hopefully Take-Two has learned from its Manhunt 2 experience and will undertake preventive measures to ensure its future games, including Grand Theft Auto IV, are appropriate for families and gamers."

Well, I always though the AO Rating was used for a porn game or something, but that option was ruled out with the release of Leisure Suit Larry and The Guy Game, so I wondered if they had ever used that rating in the first place.

I dont understand the whole "...keeping extremely violent and graphic materials out of children's hands" line. if they have an M rating, the stores cannot sell it to minors, and if your that worried about your kids being so immature that they would re-enact these actions, you should probably be monitoring what they play...In fact, you probably shouldn't let your kids play any game for that matter if they copy this stuff....we wouldn't want any kids to play frogger then try to go highway jumping.

Uh, it's removed from PS2 and PSP as well. It's because of the rating, you sound like a flaming fanboy. They just decided to pick on Wii because of the motion controls and how much more 'gruesome' that is than pressing back and forth on the control pad.

I will say it again. Big SURPRISE that the Wii gets a title that is delayed or canceled!!!!!!! I sound like a fanboy now? Which system am I being a fanboy for? Since when does facts mean fanboy? Oh and waving a controller back and forth is so much more gruesome than tapping the controller buttons lol.

Oh yes and I own all 3 next gen systems. Still a fanboy?

Yes :D

Its mostly Nintendo titles that get delayed, but you can't deny that 90% of the time that they're delayed they always come out amazing. Plus it means Nintendo is doing something.

What is Nintendo doing? Its not even made by Nintendo. And list exactly what Wii games are "amazing"

The only game that could possibly be considered amazing or good for that matter is Zelda TP

says it all when you can only anserw with one game. BTW i have never played it but from 47 reviews its averaged 70.8% not exactly a great game unless your going to call those 47 sites liars?

Thats a fricken great review. Not every game is going to get a 98- and it doesn't matter how many people review it- it's entirely opinion based. This is why reviews of anything are completely pointless- because you could read 500 of them and discover your opinion was completely different.

I don't know what is going on with Manhunt 2 but ebgames has a new release date set to Oct 1 so hopefully something will change and it can be released then fingers crossed

I really think if they can ban video games for being violent, then why dont they ban movies that are more gruesome than games? I think it is up to the parents to do their job, as well as Retail stores doin their job, i always ask for id for anyone that looks younger for m rated games. It seems that the u.s. new that nintendo and sony wouldn't allow AO games on their consoles, so they rated it that as a way of unoffically bannig it.

We need a little less government involvement some times. Atleast the Wii was willing to test the waters. MS won't touch an AO title.

Be patient Lethal, as you can see, Nintendo has great games coming out for the Wii this fall. I think game developers are having a tougher time adjusting to the Wii controls. Once they get it down then the Wii should have plenty of great games.
