FFXII help

Im not sure where to post to ask for help but i hope its here. i got FFXII and was doing pretty good, but all my friends said they were dominating all the bosses i was having trouble with because of their quickenings, but i cant get them to work, can anyone explain it to me?

you have to have full SP on at least one of your sp bars to use a quickening.. is that what youre confused about? the more quickenings/summons you have, you have more bars. 3 quickenings + 2 summons = 5 sp bars. At least one is needed to use one or the other.

what do you mean sp bars? ive never even heard of those lol. but i what i mean was after you activate the quickening what are you supposed to do, it always says to like press r2 to shuffle it and then i have no idea what to do...

when you "Shuffle" it, you are recharging their quickenings. keep pressing it until someones quickening is available again, their name will be highlighted once its available. then just press the corresponding button. And by SP, I meant MP. Im used to some other final fantasys.

ohhh ok i thinki got it now. and wait, so you get more than one MP bar?

Yep. Like I said. the more quickenings or summons your have, thats how many MP bars youll get. 2 quickenings +3 summons = 5 bars.

my Vaan has a summoning and a quickening and he only has 1 bar...maybe im misunderstanding you.

Hmm... Anyone else care to chime in? I havent played the game in like a month.... Maybe its one or the other. I thought it was both.

Also, it may look like one big MP bar, but after you use a summon/quickening, it will go down to half of that, thus using one bar.
