im trying to decide, should i get a ps3 or a 360. im having trouble, i want the ps3 cuz ie been looking forward to it forever, and plus FF XIII and devil may cry looks awesome and a few other as well, and plus...blueray. but im not sure if its realy worth it. on the other hand if i get a 360 they have some sweet games out now, and xbox lives looks kinda sweet (except im not realy liking having to pay for it, i will, but id rather not, and doesnt it need ethernet cord?) and plus all my friends have the 360. so what should i do? which one do you guys think will be a better decision in the long run? either way ill probably get both eventualy, but whihc should i get now?

Xbox 360, Blu-Ray is not preferred at the moment. Xbox LIVE is superior to Sony's online service. Not that much games for the PS3.

Yeah i just got a 360 yesterday and im loving it. The Online is awesome i really like the marketplace and all it has to offer, Free demos, games, movies, and more. I have also played the PS3 at my uncles and its really not all that great, atleast not as great as it was hyped up to be. For Xbox Live you do need an ethernet cord(comes with premium) and a broadband connection(DSL, Cable Speed, T1 etc.) I would say, save some money, and get a 360 and start having fun right now with great games rather than having to wait for a good variety of games from the PS3. Also like CTRL said XBL is so much better than Playstaions online, I have had both. The 50$ cost really isnt that much for all you get.

360, blu ray is going to flop, 360 has a huge list of games, and the ps3 has lost most of its exclusives. live is FAR superior to sony's online service, and the controller is superior

First of all Blu-Ray wont fail because of the PS3. The PS3 will only make Blu-Ray stronger. 360 is the best choice as of right now though because of game selection and the marketplace is amazing. A year from today the choice may be a coin flip.

Well, I would say 360 because of the game selection, Xbox Live, and the fact that it is $200 cheaper, but you said that all of your friends have one so maybe you should get a PS3 since you could just go and play their 360's.

Yeah, I'm sure a lot of people really give a crap about the region. IT doesn't aaffect amny people. Hell, I didn't even know about the region thing for a while.

The region free gaming will help the PS3 succeed, but it will not be the couter-blow that tops the 360. Sony has a serious problem right now. Their online component isn't any better than the PS2. Sure there adding more features to the online store, but that's not the core of it.

It's the online play that has the 360 on top, and it will keep it there. That's where Sony needs to compete.

does the 360 NEED ethernet cord? is there something i can buy to make it wireless? cuz i have a wireless router but its like a million feet away from my tv.and i dont think i can move it easily.and how much does xbox live cost exactly? do you guys think that the ps3 will be improved in the future? like sony will fix things people have been complaining about?

There is an official Network adapter....I bought mine on ebay for 70, I think they are $100 in stores though. LIVE costs $50 a yr.

I prefer the 360, the ps3 has some serious issues with the online, have you tried navigating their store? They tried to make it look pretty and official which makes the navigation hard as hell and everything is just thrown around everywhere. As F34R said, the online is something they really need to fix.

For the price of a ps3, I'd rather buy a 360 and a wii. Go with the 360. You'll be glad you did.

My vote goes to the PS3. It ultimatley is up to you; both systems have thier pros and cons, so I dont think you will be making a bad decision whichever system you choose.

well ive decided im just gonna wait it out and see if sony touches everything up. i mean i dont have the money now anyway lol. i just wanted to think ahead. the 360 sounds basicaly dominant, but im hoping the ps3 will pick up soon, cuz i want some games like the FF13 games and DMC4, and i doubt they will be worth the 600+ for em. idk.

I would get a 360 if you need awesome games NOW and you can't wait. But I think once the PS3 gets some exclusive and a good ammount of games to back it up, it will succeed.
