I am sure everyone knows about my previous Halo 3 mod. I was going to send it to F34R for testing and refferal but my partner wanted to get it copyrighted and ready for the website. We also have a meeting with John Austin next month and hopefully sell the idea to Microsoft. Anyways, with that said I decided to do another Halo mod but obviously I couldnt do any kind of carbon fiber just yet so I picked the Halo 3 color that will match the faceplate pretty nicely. Once this box is done it will be shipped to F34R for an evaluation. Here are the pics thus far.

I was lucky enough to find an original case on Ebay for only $20. Comes with side grills and faceplate. I am thinking about making the side grills a different color. Any suggestions would be great.

I am thinking about air brushing the little details that are in the faceplate onto the case.

Yes the airbrushing would make it fantastic!!

Well to be honest my first case was cut just around 8 months ago. 2 rectangle holes I cut using a dremel. After seeing how easy it was to use the dremel I decided to cut my first Halo 3 case. Most of the clean looks comes from alot of sanding. i use 3 different grits before I am done. Patience and a steady hand is really all you need. It took me 3 hours to cut the Halo 3 logo from that case. 1 hour of sanding and 3 coats of paint followed by 3 coats of clear.

The key to making good cuts is finding the right bits to use. I use 3 different size ball point chizzel tips. And if you slip or something you can always use bondo to fill it in. I used bondo to fill in the Xbox 360 in the center and the Microsoft in the corner.

i probably sound stupid for saying this, but that sounds very complicated and tricky. you should post a guide when you get the time, by the way those cases look you know what your doing

I have step by step pictures. I will take some pictures of the bits I use and I will make a guide. Good idea!

id appreciate it much, as most people know i have 2 spare 360's sitting around in the plastic that id like to try a mod on, and your 360's look like they were done by ms themselves

Here is a shot with the finished hdd. I think if I made the side grills and the backing behind the cuts purple it would have looked alot better.

Im sorry lethal,

But the cut is awsome, just the paint needs work, the painting looks great but im not into the colors, maybe if you have done the sides and hardrive black or maybe purple and the cse black it would be even better!
