Click on the link that takes you to a video that shows off exactly how much damage the blu-ray disc can take and still work. Its quite impressive. I would have figured the steel wool would have killed the disc.
This is not a chance to turn this into a **** console war! This is only about the Blu-Ray disc. Its in the PS3 section because the machine tested to play the discs is a PS3.

Only a little more than DVD, I mean, ive seem about the same done to a DVD and it was readable, I it werent playable. So maybe this will be the "turning point" of the format wars.

I think Sony should put that black coating on their discs like they did with the PS1. I swear you could do anything to those discs and they always played.

Ok, sure, it could still recognize it as a movie but, when he watched it I'm sure it was EXTREMELY scetchy and skipped all over the place, thats assuming it would have actually played all the way through. The only TRUE way to know is to do this stuff and what the WHOLE movie and there not be any bad effects.... It is impressive how much it can take and still be semi readable but, thats not good enough for me.

You couldn't really see any scratching until he used the butchers knife, you can't really use steel wool or a pizza cutter with one hand like he did.
