VC games can only be played on the Wii that downloaded them. If your Wii breaks you cant even redownload them to the new Wii. Yet! This is what I was told.

Nintendo will transfer them for you to a new console if you use their warranty service

What games do they have out right now for this? There are a few N64 games I would love to see come out for the Wii VC. Banjo Kazooie, Banjo tooie, Super Mario 64, Zelda's, and I always loved the Gretzky 3D Hockey, it was a blast :P :). Oh yea and Goldeneye. Are any of these games out yet? And also , how are they played, do you have to play them with the Wii-mote like all new Wii games, or do you need one of the classic controllers?

Thanks for help... Troy

"Firmware

The Wii firmware can receive periodic updates from time to time via the WiiConnect24 service. The first firmware update via WiiConnect24 (which added Internet-based channels and SD card support to the system) caused a small portion of units to become unusable, forcing users to either send their units to Nintendo for repairs (if they wished to retain their saved data), or, quicker, exchange it for a free replacement.[63]"

from: here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii)

I also have a friend that had to send theirs in already and they were told they could either send theirs in to have data transferred OR lose all data and recieve a cross rma and have a Wii sooner. That was their policy on warranty work. I'd also assume that in say 5 years if it breaks, as long as you send your console to them they'd offer a service to transfer stuff to a new system or etc.

Anyhow, I had a better source but I can't seem to find it this morning, however that Wiki says enough, as well as my friend who was told this. Good friend too. Tried looking for the info on their site for you, but they want people to call to discuss warranty/repairs.
