I have a bunch of back up Playstation 1 games. Probably pushing 50 or so. Oh the joys of a new CD burner way back when...

So I kept them in a large binder with all my PS1 games. Last night I decided to re-organize this binder and remove all my original games back to their respective jewel cases. Apparently my binder had been closed up too long or gotten hot or something because when I went to remove some of the back-ups the label side just peeled right off, stuck in the binder, leaving a oddly cool looking but non playable clear blue disc. I lost some key games from my collection, Tekken 3, Spyro, Blitz, Fatal fury: Wild Ambition, Pocket Fighter & Einhander (which truly was a back-up as I later got a sealed copy)

So just a warning, watch out if you keep cd-r's in binders. I'm not really sure why I put them in there anyway after I had a binder of 12 Cd's stolen from a hotel room... :?

That would be an oddly hillarious costume.

i was always afraid of that happening so I looked around for the old school cd binders where the "sheets" were plastic and the cd's snapped in them like in a normal CD case. I have had no problems.

They are real tough to find nowadays though.

Thats what we like to call "cd rot", sometimes you can stop it if you put one of thoes label stickers on the disk, or... you know... buy games.

I have like 2 full spindles of backups, and my originals in proper cases. ALot of the cheaper cd's eventually did that to me over time o well.

Depends on what media you use, Some last longer than others. However nothing lasts forever. Everything has a shelflife. CDs are typically 10-100 years
