Final Fantasy 8,9

Which of theses did you play, and how long did it take you to complete them?

I liked 9, despite what other people say... although I thought 9 was a lot easier then 8.

9 had the best cutscenes imo.. I mean they looked awesome...

I've never been a fan of FF games, that style of game never appealed to me in any way. I think its because I find them boring, I've always been a fan of fast paced racers like Burnout, and FPS games cos I love killing things :D j/k

Eight was my first FF and for that, it has a spot in my heart. I may even call it my favourite. Haha.
I had it for PC. I don't recall how long I spent on it but all my characters were level 99 and I did a whole bunch of extra stuff. It was so long ago that I played it...
As far as 9 goes, it's really good and all, but the last boss is so FRIGGIN HARD.
I can't beat him!
So I've never seen the ending and I can barely even remember what the story was about. Haha. Beating it now would be pointless unless I started over.

9 was absolutely gorgeous. It was definitely easier, but wow. Graphics were superb for those times. I completed it alot quicker than 8.

8 was more complicated than most FF games released prior, and Squall was a bit of an emo bastard, but it was a great game.

Honestly, I won't say that one was better than the other. The thing about Final Fantasy is that they make them all different, with different gimmicks and appeals. If you like one, and you're not a fanboy for a specific release, then try them all out.

9 seems to be pretty unpopular for some reason, but it's my favourite. Absolutly gorgeous graphics, and the cut scenes were amazing.

I think I'll be rebuying that now that I have an HDTV.
