Do you think gaming is a great fun socialable and healthy way to kill a few hours or is it a mindless,addicting,anti-soacial waste of time?
Theres many mixed views about this, wheter your looking a some kids playing wii tennis for fun to a 20 year old World of Warcraft addict that has no social life.
I think gaming is ok as long as you don't let it take over your life.
I think if your school results or health is suffering because of it severly you should stop.

Depends how much you play... I tend to play by myself... for about 5 hours a week... (that will change come march 23rd ;) ) I dont play with my mates anymore really... they all either cheat or are n00bs.

Yeh i can't get any of my friends into it either
I only really started playing more when i got my 360 at christmas.
The handhelds arn't good for long term stuff if you know what i mean.
I mainly only play with friends because I get bored quick
I play a lot of sports games when we have company over. We usually get 5-6 people over during a UFC party, and play guitars around a campfire, then we smash each other in madden. We also play DDR. Which is mucho fun when you're the only one sober ! lol. Other than that, I don't do much gaming.
Healthy ? It can be.

Gaming definitely has benefits and draw backs. Like previously mentioned if it is taking over your social life or health then it is a problem. On the plus side it has proven to improve hand-eye coordination. In fact, they're developing games right now that will help old people maintain balance as they age to avoid broken hips and other injuries from falling.

I play a few hours of Guitar Hero a week with my brothers or buddies. We usually do real stuff.

Gaming is only healthy for your social or pwning skills.
Unless your playing with a Wii.. lol.
i find gaming to be healthy and not healthy... if someone just took gaming away from my life i think that I would go crazy because I would be bored out of my mind so I guess that isnt very healthy and i dont do all my hw but thats cuz im lazy... gaming is good who cares if its healthy =)

I think its healthy and sociable. They always say your heart needs some sort of a fright and excitement every day, and theres no better way than killing people in a video game :) Also, its cool talking to your friends through a microphone or whatever.

Pretty much all of my friends and I game.
We play a variety of games on a variety of systems.
We all pretty much live at my friend's house, he has a PS3, 360, and a Wii, a PS2, an Xbox, Gamecube, NDS, 64, and like TONS of other systems... We have like four computers, three with Knight Online, two with Tibia, two with Gunz and Gunbound, two with Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and a ton of other puzzlers.
We pretty much all have SOMETHING playing constantly.
For example:
Right now, Andre and I are waiting to get on Knight Online, I'm here to pass time and he's playing WiiSports while Dexter and I watch. As soon as the server is back up, Dexter will probably take over the tv and play Trauma Center or WarioWare.
We have a close-knit circle of friends, but we also have other friends that we spend time with. Although we play TONS of games, I think we're all well-balanced with healthy social lives and are all healthy and decently fit.

IMO, Gaming is cut both ways. It burns time when your stuck inside, bored as H-E-Double Hockeysticks. Then again it leads me to procrastinate on everything.
