How do you fill up soul gems, i have a staff that does the soul trap spell. And I know that spell. If I have an empty soul gem how do i put souls in it ?

Ok, first I would go and get the capture soul spell if you don't already have it. You can buy it at any mages guild. You need to be an apprentice with your mysticism skill to get it though. Walk up to an enemy that is not a humanoid just before the enemy dies. Watch the health bar, then cast the spell, and then kill them after you cast it. This spell will last for about 20 seconds so kill the enemy right away. I hope this helps!
